The problem of the cost of the helmet and there being different sizes can pose problems. The Masuri helmet is a one-size fits all helmet. There are a variety of different adjustions possible to allow the helmet to fit all comfortably. Advantages: Extremely comfortable, lightweight, good vision Disadvantages: None!
After trying on both the Masuri Test with the standard grill and the Masuri Test with the Titanium grill I could really see no difference. The standard steel grill has been improved for the 2006 season and is similar in weight to the titanium and offers equal protection, and that is why you will see many pros wearing the steel grill. The helmet itself is also extremely light, and is very comfortable. The padding and adjustable hend and neck straps ...

...am now onto my 3rd Masuri and its the best on the market once you have got the foam pads in the correct position for you its so easy to wear and this latest one has the titanium grill and for my money it is well worth the extra. My first 2 and the C&D that I had before that all had steel grills and I could never see the point of the extra expence of the titanium grill until now, having had a good start to the season personally I am realy noticing ... ...than I remember last year with the steel grill. Perhaps its psycological and I am trying to justify the extra expence but I do honestly feel better and even if it is only in my head I am more than happy that I took the plunge and spent the extra cash. I usually sell my helments on to the juniors at our club and already have a waiting list for this one. ...

This helmet may be one of the most expensive helmets on the market but it is the most expensive for a reason! I believe the first designs of the helmet were designed by the England test player Robin Smith, with a focus on erradicating any blind spots that were always present in older style helmets. And what a success this was! There is a minimal amount of bars making up the grill of the helmet and those that are used are very thin and are little if no distraction for the batsman and there are none of the dreaded black spots where you can't see the ball pitch.
The idea of the titanium grill is also inspired, you are able to bat for long periods of time (not that i tend to!) without getting that pain in your neck with the weight of the helmet and in comparison to other older style, heavier helmets, you literally hardly notice you are ...
