Advantages: Lightweight, strong, precise, fast Disadvantages: hopeless police (lack of) effort against stolen bikes
...aluminum monocoque frame doesn't flex at all. The wheels are mavic 517 rims which have been the best XC wheel rims around for some time now.
There is no discernible lateral shaking and flexing associated with fast downhill in a full-suspension bike.
During repetitive bumps on climbs there are some bouncies during some long, grinding, out of the saddle climbs, but use the (change on the ride/fly) lock-out on the Fox Float RL and its perfect again as is the lock-out on the SID Team fork. It has four inches of travel in the back, and 100mm up front, so the bike can take the big hits with no annoying inefficiencies. This bike feature s the new Quad System trail arm.

Advantages: Built in Halifax; good for UK conditions / sorting out queries Disadvantages: Chainsuck, but due to short BB
.... I also experienced no problems considering this is an XC bike with all lightweight gear, wheels, hubs etc which just goes to show the durability & strength of the bike even when used to it's extreme!
I would recommend this bike to anyone after a light XC or trial bike, the quality & build is second to none plus it's British built with an excellent warranty & if you do have a problem - you just ring them up and ask!!
(My Bike Setup: E4, Hope sus / Ti Glide on Mavic x517 Dt revoltion spokes, Marzochi Z3, All XT Kit)...

Combined with the carbon fibre seat post the feel of the tarmac was completely different and it took several miles before I started getting used to it.

Mavic Ksyrium SSL would be my choice - but until i save up another £500 I'll keep with the Bontrager! Tyres again are a personal choice - and Michelin Pro-Race are the best i've had for both puncture resistance and speed - the Bontrager tyres that come with the bike are fine for spares!!
The other change to my original bike...
