Advantages: reasonable prices, soft and durable Disadvantages: not long life lasting
...I like Maxfli Noodle golfballs because they are a cheap and almost titleist alike. At around £12 a dozen they are a cheap alternative ball to Callaway and Titleist. I often use Maxfli in the winter or when the greens and fairways are soft or damp. I feel off the tee they are quite nice to hit, not like cheaper balls which make a louder noise when hit. Maxfli offer a soft ball which seems to fly higher off the tee, and does control a lot easier than Topflight for instance. The dimples dont seem as deep as most golfballs which proberly makes them better to putt with, I don't know the science so I'm not going to try to explain but off the putter i do find they roll very nice.
When i use a wedge i find a better spin than some other cheaper golfballs, and in the air i do see more distance that Topflight and Dunlop, but not as long...

Advantages: Very very long Disadvantages: expensive to lose
...I tried a Nike Golf Nike One BlackGolfBall in a match play knockout yesterday, I play off 21 and my opponant was off 12 so granted i did have a few shot in hand. I have never used a Nike one black (the ball is white however) but was very impressed with the result. I found the ball which has a thin urethene cover and a enanced 408 dimples very long to hit, Longer than my usual PTS Solo golfballs. I was very impressed with the length and how straight it flew in the air.
Off the tee I only missed two fairways but the length was very impressive. I won my game 3 and 2 and to be honest I didn't really need the shots. Really though i found the combination of the balls and my Ping G2 driver excellent. on the greens my ball did truely roll further and felt very nice to hit. I felt the disatnce almost with my first putt, and was never 2 foot...

Advantages: Good feel, Shiny, bounces well, good value for money Disadvantages: Being a golf ball - none really...
...Golf, the sport traditionally favoured by Upper Class toffs, overweight American businessmen and any other Industrial Fat Cat who comes my way, is a strict pompous sport, with strict, pompous rules.
Jeremy Clarkson's view of golfers:
"A misogynist who cares more about his trousers than his wife"
And it's not just the married or old ones either. Show ME a Junior Golfer, as they most likely call them, and I'll show you a pansy with neatly combed hair and a father with a new BMW 5-series.
I came across one just today ,in fact, pulled out a Golfball, and asked him, in my jovial "old wag" sort of tone: "Is this ball an expensive one?" He took a quick, dismissive sort of look and replied: "Oh no, that's a rubbish cheap one. The best golfball is a Maxfli M3Z4' (or something of that nature).
It's a sad, sad world when our golf...
