Advantages: reasonable prices, soft and durable Disadvantages: not long life lasting
...I like MaxfliNoodlegolfballs because they are a cheap and almost titleist alike. At around £12 a dozen they are a cheap alternative ball to Callaway and Titleist. I often use Maxfli in the winter or when the greens and fairways are soft or damp. I feel off the tee they are quite nice to hit, not like cheaper balls which make a louder noise when hit. Maxfli offer a soft ball which seems to fly higher off the tee, and does control a lot easier than Topflight for instance. The dimples dont seem as deep as most golfballs which proberly makes them better to putt with, I don't know the science so I'm not going to try to explain but off the putter i do find they roll very nice.
When i use a wedge i find a better spin than some other cheaper golfballs, and in the air i do see more distance that Topflight and Dunlop, but not as long...

Advantages: Great colour and feel! Disadvantages: None
...About a month ago, I decided to buy some new golfballs as I had finally almost run out of the things! Logged onto google and found www.best4balls.com - a golfballs online shop that looked pretty good. Now, I've always been a bit of a Titleist Pro V1 man myself, but have been told by a friend that you can sometimes afford to go coloured and not lose the performance!

They arrived the next day, and WOW! These balls are so cool - they have a transparent cover around the ball which resembles ice (where the ball gets its name from). The coloured core looks stunning, shrouded in the see-through elastomer cover!
Anyway, like I said earlier on, these balls have...

Advantages: A good ball that looks amazing Disadvantages: Few (except that people may try and steal it off you)

The noodle ice is possibly the most legendary ball ever to enter the golfball cycle as it is known. This illustrious ball, which i have only encountered once in three years works wonders for any player and looks cool!
Between me and two other players, we managed to put this ball under a stringent series of tests and discovered that this ball is arguably the best known to man. Unfortunately we managed to loose it, although we felt good about the fact that it had been returned to the golfball cycle for another player to enjoy.
We even associated a children's song - 'Do the noodle' with this ball, it really is that legendary.
Genuinely though, this is a good ball and you can get a pack for a decent price. Currently it's the only ball I'v come across which has this aesthetically pleasing 'ice...

I am surprised no one has written about this yet. It is indeed one of the funniest inventions ever brought to television. Guests come on the show and tell the host, Mark Dolan, what they had been getting up to during the week past. The activities range... more
