The Middle burn Rs7 Cranks have been around for years now because there is nothing better on the market.

4 Years ago I bought a set to go on my pashley trials bike. I had been ridding for 3 years, and needed something that could keep up I had bent a pair of cheap cranks then replaced them with some FSA cranks I then Proceeded to smash them against every thing until also bent.

Then they had to be grinded of my bike as they would not come off the bottom bracket. So I decided to invest in a set of Middle burn cranks I had seen at the bike show. At the time they set me back £180 with a bash ring and 22 Tooth chain ring. I put them on straight away unlike other cranks the bash ring is fixed to the crank via a large nut that attaches to the thread of the crank, this means there is no week point and the crank is almost one piece making it incredibly strong plus the fact the bash ring is about 1/2 an inch think. The cranks are cnc machined from one piece of aluminum making them incredibly light.

Ridding with these cranks is a delight the power transfer is great as the crank and chain ring and bash ring are so solid there is no flex in the arms and the bash ring is low profile so gives you that little extra clearance but yet protects your chain perfectly.

The Cranks come in wither taper or Isis fitting, Isis is a great as no matter how hard you tighten the bolt, once you want to remove the crank remove the bolt and generally just give the crank a tap and off it comes. The Most amazing thing however is that these cranks have a lifetime warranty, even stated for trials or Downhill use. There so confident that there indestructible. I smashed them some many times onto concrete ledges and barely put a scratch on them.

The best cranks I have seen on the market for trials, but are also available for DH or free ridding as when you order you can specify a spider instead of bash ring to install larger chain rings.

Pay the Extra and reap the benefits, truly a great piece of kit especially if you're going for a light weight set-up.
