This ball is used by many local teams in the local football league and after playing Sunday League football for a few years now I decided I'd review this ball as I have had good times using the ball but also a nasty time which sticks in my mind. Anyway I'll tell you about the good times using the ball and why I like it.

After playing most of our league and cup games using the ball you get to know how it bounces and how hard to hit it etc ... playing with it week in and week out you get to know it. That's the plus point about the ball it is predictable and you can estimate where it'll bounce and how high etc ...

Anyway the good times I have had using the ball was in the few games I actually scored with it and I must say they was all outside the area and the ball was like a rocket there was no chance the keeper was going to save it. When you hit the ball correctly you know it as the ball doesn't move through the air it is like an arrow into the direction you booted it.

You can also curl the ball pretty well as the weight distribution in the ball is centre orientated so it will spin and curl if you do it correctly.

It isn't a heavy ball like other mitre balls I have played with where they hardly bounce and just float around the pitch rarely going over waist height but this ball isn't like that.

It is good for free kicks as the ball can either be blasted or placed into any area you want it to with great accuracy.

I have also had some bad times using this ball like for instance after being subsituted I took off my boots and sat on the sidelines. Minutes later the ball flew into my direction only for me to be totally unaware I had taken my boots off ... anyway as I watched this ball fly towards me I stood up only to volley it back without realising I had no boots on and broke 3 metatarsels in my foot (basically 3 broken foot bones) so that wasn't one of my strongest idea's. Around 2 months on the sideline and hobbling about all because the ball was like a brick if coming at you at speed.

Another bad time is when I believed I could easily head the ball out from defence when really I headed it backwards only for it to fly over my keeper who was rushing out to easily collect the ball - the reason for that was the weight of the ball bounced off my crown of my head and flew backwards instead of hitting the top of my head for an easy clearance.

That is just my experiances with using the ball but all in all it is a great strong durable football which can bounce, swerve, curl and anything else you want to do with a football.

It is a very durable ball as I think we had about 15 balls in total in training and they used to get bashed against railings, plucked out of hedges, ran over the odd few times and still be able to use them for training.

Mitre is a great brand and have produced some great footballs over the years with hardly any competition until the past few years when Adidas, Reebok, Nike and other well known brands have been manufacturing footballs used in competitions like the Premiership, La Liga & The Champions League.

I'm not really sure what else I can write about as its a football - you kick it so you get the jist of how it works ha!

If you have any questions or anything you want to know about the ball feel free to comment and I'll update this review.
