Mizuno MP 32

Advantages: Beautiful to look at and a great feel when struck well
Disadvantages: Aimed for the low handicapped and not very forgiving

...As a 7 handicapper myself, I was recently searching the internet and local golf shops for a new set of irons. My first thought was to go for Mizuno because I have always played with Mizuno irons. You know that when you buy any set of Mizuno irons, they will look lovely at address and feel great when struck. I found that this was true with the MP-33s when i tried then out. The only problem with these irons is that they are not very forgiving. I would recemend them for a good consistant player, off a handicap of 5 or better. I tested all the Mizuno irons on display and found that MP-32s were the way to go as they are a very simular iron but with that extra forgiveness. I now own a set of MP-32s and believe that they are the best irons that you can get on the market.... Read review

...The Mizuno MP-001 series of fairway woods are available in a wide range of lofts, with a variety of shaft flexes. Due to being released a few years ago, they are now extremely good value and can be picked up for around £50/£70 (steel/graphite) new and prices are coming down all the time. They are very good looking with a sleek design and look good over the ball. With a simple arrow alignment aid and a compact head these are better suited for the better-player who can guarentee a good strike. Even so, they are very forgiving compared to other low-handicapper woods and hit the ball a long way. In my opinion they are just as good as any other club out and are un-matched for value. For any decent golfer these are a good adition to the golf bag, and the 7-wood in particular is a lovely golf club. If you like to shape the ball it is also easy... Read review

Advantages: average price
Disadvantages: better on the market

...I traded in some Wilson 1200 to buy this set of irons last year, 3 to sand iron. They looked great on the shelf and i was recommended them by the assistant in the shop. I researched the irons before i purchased and they sounded really good. i think the irons are forged and have a nice cavity back, the higher irons 5 to 9 have a high launch and supposed to give maximum forgiveness. Mizuno have invested a lot of money on golf club design so i guess they know what they are doing. I found the low end irons 3,4,5 and 6 a little hard to hit, i took those out of my bag and relied on 7,8,9,pw and sw, along with my rescue wood. so basically i paid for the use of 5 irons. After about 6 months i found little specks of rust forming on the inside of the cavity, and i didn't keep them in a damp place. At the end of the day you buy what you feel... Read review
