...I purchased a set of Mizuno MX-17 (steel) irons in April 2005 for £349, replacing my ageing Progen's that had never really done me justice. At first I thought that the Mizunos were slightly expensive, however after my first practice I could see why Mizuno had such a good reputation as iron-makers and so believed that the price was adequate. Advantages: Great for High Handicappers, Quality Fell Disadvantages: None

My regular playing partner was so impressed by my improvement he tried them and now has bought a set of his own.

After about 6 months i found little specks of rust forming on the inside of the cavity, and i didn't keep them in a damp place. ... ...saying that these might suit my game. I don't think i would ever buy anymore Mizuno irons after trading them in for Callaway but if you like mizuno give them a go. Basically, i found them hard to use and the low irons stayed out of my bag. ...
