Weapons of mass destruction?

Advantages: Well written and highly amusing read
Disadvantages: None

About the Author: Sue Townsend was born in Leicester in 1946. Her first two books 'The Secret Diary of Adrian Mole Aged 13 and Three Quarters' and its sequel 'The Growing Pains of Adrian Mole' were Number one best sellers. This is her fifth Adrian Mole novel. She is also well known as a playwright. Storyline of the book: As all Adrian Mole books it is written in a diary format. It begins on the 5th October 2002 with Adrian now thirty-four and three quarters years old. It is a time when the British Prime Minister is warning the public of Saddam Hussein's Weapons of Mass Destruction. Adrian has just purchased a trendy loft apartment in a supposedly up and coming part of Leicester called Rat Wharf. Here over time, he and his visitors are terrorised by a flock of swans lead by Gielguid who live below him in the Canal. He is now ...

Review of Adrian Mole and the Weapons of Mass Destruction - Sue Townsend

Its on the ball

Advantages: efective little cleaner
Disadvantages: Noisy

I have a small home so when I needed a new vacuum cleaner I chose the Dyson DC24 which is a smaller version of the standard model. It cost £189.99. I was expecting almost a child sized vacuum cleaner but there is not really much difference at all. It was so simple to put together, there are peel off stickers on the unit to explain things as you go. It only took me 5 minutes to have it assembled. The ball makes vacuuming effortless, and the head of the vacuum is narrow so its easy to get under the sofa, low tables, etc. It has strong suction as you would expect from a Dyson but it is surprising how full the cylinder is when you have finished. It really gets everything up. This does mean however that you need to empty the dust cylinder quite frequently. The power cable is short and not retractable which can look a bit untidy if it is ...

Storm v power, Bowling Ball

Advantages: Not as expensive as the USA versions
Disadvantages: Too fierce for dry lanes

Technical Specifications Coverstock: Aggressive Solid Reactive Weight Block: Inverted RAD3 Finish: 1000-grit Smooth Logos: Gyration: 2.52 Differential: 0.055 Durometer: 74-76 Track Flare: 6" plus Length: 5 Backend: 9 The X-Factor V-Power is a limited release overseas version of the X-FActor Triple Xtreme, with a Strong, Solid Reactive, coverstock. This is a very good ball for medium to heavy oiled lanes. You can adjust this ball to suit your style. I have left mine sanded to 1000 (factory finish) or you can go for the polished finish which will make the ball go longer on oily lanes. If your lanes are very dry forget this ball as it will start gripping the lane early on and you will miss your target by a fair distance. I have been using this ball at Tolworth for a few sessions now and had a fairly good outcome. The ball seems to ...
