Advantages: Hits the ball a VERY long way. Keeps the ball straight. Disadvantages: Not a solitary thing.
...driver. Greater speed plus less spin equates to the golf ball travelling a greater distance, in the case of the R540 anything from 20 to 30 yards further than its nearest competitor. (Callaway)
~ ~ But distance alone doesn’t make a great driver. I never really lost my ability to hit the ball a fair distance from the tee, even when playing poorly. What caused me the most trouble was the fact that I simply couldn’t guarantee what direction it was going to go in, and what trouble I would land the ball in at the end of its flight. I had become an expert at extricating myself from practically impossible situations, from knee high rough to deep in forests that nobody else had visited in generations!
Now with the new R540 driver, I am once again about 95% sure that my golf ball will be in a playable position after every drive, with the vast...

Advantages: very cheap, they work, you can practice in the garden Disadvantages: you may prefer real golf balls

I noticed these airflow practice balls and they seemed like a fab training aid and something which should really help my swing. They are exactly the same size and dimension as a normal golf ball, but are of plastic construction and have airholes all over them, producing maximum drag from the moment...

...Classic look sailing shoe with disappointing performance.
Dubarry have usually produced comfortable robust and practical sailing shoes. This ladies range with its lightweight flexible sole did not perform as per my expectations. The shoes are undoubtedly very comfortable with a soft foot moulded insole, but the grip from the outer sole is not as effective as the more conventional white rubber sole which has been my previous experience.
Unusually these days you can still buy Dubarry shoes in half sizes and wide fittings which makes them almost guaranteed to properly fit. There is also a reasonable colour range to suit most tastes. Not all ladies aspire to pretty pink shoes where practicality is required!!
Unfortunately the attractive two tone uppers on these shoes are not as hardwearing nor waterproof as their more traditional...

As many of you will know, my life’s dream is to become a Vet, it therefore isn’t too much of a surprise to hear that I’ve watched Vets In Practice religiously right from the start. It all started back in 1996 when the BBC thought... more
