Advantages: Exercise for the unfit.....with advanced features for the fitter Disadvantages: Doesn't remember last session stats | Manual Incline
...to exercise and constantly push myself a little further. This treadmill is as comfortable as the ones in my local gym, and for all it's minor faults, it has one big advantage….I can use it whenever I like, and even watch TV while I walk. For someone with as poor a fitness level as myself, this is a huge plus, I need all the motivation I can get, and as little excuse factors as possible.
Yes there are improvements that could be made to the Powerstrider (motorised incline/memory function), but that would make it far more expensive. I'm therefore recommending this treadmill, to those who, like me, are making their first steps on the road to fitness, feel too self-conscious to use a public gym and of course have the space. My local gym costs £5 a session, so even if I use it twice a week (£520/year), it will have paid for it's within a year (I...

Advantages: Good cardio and classes... Disadvantages: but the weights area leaves a lot to be desired
...and would only last for a short period of time is more of a constant than a special offer.
The actual gym looks fairly impressive as you walk in the doors, with all the cardio equipment lined up. There are several treadmills all lined up facing the TVs at the opposite side from reception. As you might have guessed from the number of treadmills they are by far the most popular together with the cross trainers. If you go here at peak times, you will sometimes struggle to get on the treadmills in spite of there being so many of them. The TVs are always on, each set to a different channel and you can listen to them or a selection of 3 radio channels simply using your own headphones. Even though you are meant...

Advantages: Great classes and plenty of equipment Disadvantages: Swimming pool is a bit small
...I have been a member at this gym for nearly 2 years and I would have to say that the worst thing about it is motivating yourself to get there!
Personally, I prefer participating in classes rather than using the gym equipment, although I do take advantage of both.
There are a wide range of classes on offer both during the day and in the evening. They include plenty of the popular classes such as Body Pump and Body Combat (which if you've never tried I would definately recommend as a great way to keep fit! - Body Pump is working with weights to structured tracks in time with music and Body Combat is Kick boxing/Martial arts style moves to music - both are great fun!).
The classes all take place in the Studio which is spacious enough for a good workout with mirrors in front and to the side so that you can check your technique...
