Advantages: Price, quality of components Disadvantages: Softer seat may help!
I chose this bike after months of searching and i havnt regretted buying it. I wanted a bike which i could afford which also gave me the quality of bikes in a higher price range and this ticked both boxes. It rides well, smooth gear changes, excellent brakes and no fault yet. I fitted my whels with gel-filled innertubes and except for a few mishaps (not the bikes fault) it has run smoother still. I have ridden it on rode, where it glides along, and ... ...The only trouble with this being a mountain bike is the fact it is a hard-tail, meaning no back suspention. If you want anything serious out of this bike a new seat would benefit you as it can get tough off-road. Overall the bike is strong, sturdy frame, slick gears though may shake your backside around a bit! But it is a hardtail afterall! ...
Advantages: Brakes are fantastic, really lightweight, very well made, overall great Disadvantages: too many low gears, not enough high gears, uncomfortable saddle. But don't be put off...
...We already have 2 other Giant bikes in the house and I was more than happy to follow this advice. So far I have done nearly 600 miles on this bike in the 5 months i've had it.
My choice was simple between a Yukon, Rainier and this one - the Terrago. I tried to balance price with how good I wanted it to be, I found one of these for £325, and bit their hand off for one.
This bike has a massive 27 gears, 2 disc brakes and a lightweight aluminium frame. ... ...I recieved it, it took quite some putting together, but that was fine and was all fairly simple. It feels really solid and really high quality from Giant, yet the frame is really light. When put together it feels really lightweight and the difference when riding is huge, the weight makes a bit difference and getting going from standstill is really easy, fantastic. Having 9 hears on one finger is also really good, much simpler to use, however I very ...
Advantages: an excellent bike which can cope with a lot. Disadvantages: Not the cheapest bike in its field
I'm a bit stuck on how to describe this bike. it's not bad, it's not exceptional. to be honest there's not really much to say about it. The frame showcases giants excellent hydroforming system and comes in an understated grey, which exudes quiet strength. It comes with top spec Shimano groupsets and rear mech, which ensure quick and easy changes. Shimano's new LX rapidfire shifters really do the trick, and you can now opt to change both ways with ...
This bike has a really good spec, XT rear mech excellent proformer the only thing that lets it down is the tyres they are a bit prone to punctures when used on road and are really only for off road use. i think that the forks are a bit on the heavy side but still work grate. for the price range would be hard to beat this spec. in my opinion the bike rides really well on cross country trails and is vary smooth and well balanced. i have used my bike ...
Advantages: under £100 Disadvantages: Too heavy, horridle comfort, poor value for money...do i really need to continue?
I bought this bike from halfords after reading some pretty good reviews....i now realise the people who wrote these reviews are either extremely unintelligent or are just playing an evil prank on you! Possibly the worst bike i have ever ridden!
The first time i rode this bike it fell to pieces...within 5 mins the chain snapped, then the handlebars came loose, then the brakes failed whilst the saddle moved causing some extremely foul language and ... ...only recommend this bike to someone who has wronged me in the past!
I don't mean to be too critical but i really feel that it is disgusting that products as poor and UNSAFE as this should be sold to the public!!!
Hope this is useful to you! I would strongly recommend paying more for a quality bike that will last you for years!
Happy Riding! ...
