Yamaha FS1-E 50cc moped, 1976

Advantages: Great handling, build quality, fast for its time.
Disadvantages: To find one now it will cost you a grand !

Dont know if this review will work, as I'm riding it on the back of another product. ( have heard this is a problem at Ciao ) no listing for this item ?. If you have managed to get here by looking for this moped , ' then fair play to you !! ' The time was 1975, was still at school in the 5th year , as it was then, all my mad mates were getting their new mopeds , namely Fantic motor mopeds, fast as you like, 7.5 BHP and about a million gears! These ...
...the girls would be falling at their feet, ) but ,then as now girls just think you're a twat !..... we thought we were Barry Sheen. I of course, had to be different and got a Yam' , compaired to the Fantics, the Yam was quality, not as fast , but, bits didn't drop off, did'nt seize up, had lights that worked, and you didn't get electricuted when it rained by pressing the horn! The competition. At the time we had all been taken to school on the local ...

A bike for all conditions

Advantages: Light frame
Disadvantages: Cost

I take a lot of interest in cycling and felt I needed a new bike and this is what I chose. The bike itself looks worse from further away but when you get close up all that money seems worth it. The wide tires make it ideal for off-road and this is where I decided to test it. I found the best open space I could for riding and chose the hardest route. I started on road on a flat and this was great as it gave me time to get used to the handling, and ...
...stopped me very quickly while the front suspension easily took out the shocks. I then went off-road and found that the light frame made it so easy to cross the rough terrain and I was soon off on insane downhills, (nearly hit a bush at 30mph!). Then I came to the next set of obstacles which was a set of streams which had varying depth and different surfaces, and yet again the bike made light work of all of them. Then it was time for the uphills where ...

A good entry level dirt jump bike.

Advantages: Cheap, sturdy
Disadvantages: Poor gearing, unresponsive handling

My friend brought this bike a few months back and has kindly allowed me to review it. First off, its a budget dirt jump bike, so you get what you pay for. The gearing leaves a bit to be desired, and the overall feel of the bike isnt excellent. The specifications are quite good, but for the price it doesnt feel like much thought has been put into it. Again, the gearing is very low end. But for a first time mountain biker you could do far worse than ...
...own bike from scratch you would obviously save quite a bit of money. I cant really reccomend any other entry level stock bikes either, since most at this price range seem to fail in the same areas. It really would be a good idea to build it from scratch if you could. ...

Gt Aggressor XC2 Grate ride

Advantages: good spec
Disadvantages: tyres

This bike has a really good spec, XT rear mech excellent proformer the only thing that lets it down is the tyres they are a bit prone to punctures when used on road and are really only for off road use. i think that the forks are a bit on the heavy side but still work grate. for the price range would be hard to beat this spec. in my opinion the bike rides really well on cross country trails and is vary smooth and well balanced. i have used my bike ...

Don't Do IT To Yourself!!!

Advantages: under £100
Disadvantages: Too heavy, horridle comfort, poor value for money...do i really need to continue?

I bought this bike from halfords after reading some pretty good reviews....i now realise the people who wrote these reviews are either extremely unintelligent or are just playing an evil prank on you! Possibly the worst bike i have ever ridden! The first time i rode this bike it fell to pieces...within 5 mins the chain snapped, then the handlebars came loose, then the brakes failed whilst the saddle moved causing some extremely foul language and ...
...only recommend this bike to someone who has wronged me in the past! I don't mean to be too critical but i really feel that it is disgusting that products as poor and UNSAFE as this should be sold to the public!!! Hope this is useful to you! I would strongly recommend paying more for a quality bike that will last you for years! Happy Riding! ...
