Scott Reflex 20 - A good all rounder.

Advantages: Good frame, Fast climber, Well specced. Good to upgrade over time.
Disadvantages: Tyres wear out quickly, Can't fit big tyres.

I bought my Reflex 20 about 6 months ago. From the off she was upgraded so I can only give you the low down on what I rode. Upgrades are tyres, pedals, stem, forks and brakes. I ride a bit of all terrains. Commuting to work along a 6 mile route that rakes in a bit of road, steep hills and some smooth single track, worth the slight detour, so it gave me a good indication of where the bikes strengths and weaknesses were. Strengths: The frame is ...
...hardtail riding as smooth as a FS, but she handles fast downhill sections very well and takes all the abuse I have thrown at it in it's stride and climbing is great with the frame putting everything in the right place. I upgraded my forks and brakes so I cannot comment on them but it seems well specced for the price. The wheels are also up to the tasks as I have hit a few rocks and ramps and they still track as true as they did from new. The gears ...

Scott Reflex FX-25

Advantages: Rear shock lock-out
Disadvantages: Crap OEM tyres

Bought one about 6 months ago, in preference to a Giant Trance 2. The lockout for the rear shock really made the deal for me, as I do a fair bit of tarmac riding. Locking the rear suspension really reduces power-sapping bounce and sag when pedalling hard. The only thing I'd complain about is the relatively poor OEM tyres. I've now swapped these for some High Rollers and all is sweet. I have to add fifty three more words here in order to be able ...

Old Scott is still good.

Advantages: Solid Frame, Excellent Gears, Durable, Value for money
Disadvantages: Small pedals and seat, V form brakes (not endurable)

Scott Boulders is an MTB (stands for Mountain Bike) from Scott, limited, the leading resource of the best MTB in the world. Even if the Scott boulders is a 1999's production, it's very notable for the solid metallic frame and life longevity. The Boulder comes in two different bend of colors; a burst of dark grey, blue, silver, white and a little bit of red, and the second where the blue is replaced with silver for a sleeker chrome look. The triangular ...
...The handlebars are the Scott Strike Comp 1 P.G low-rise 600mm; Solid. The set width makes handling easy. The frame is the Scott Bi-Axial Alloy 7005 Liteflite D.B. Scott Disc D/out. One thing, I like about it is that the frame allows to ride more comfortably and efficiently, with more power, and less effort! the bigger, the better. But don't worry, the Boulder's frame works just fine! Boulder is equipped with 27 speed. There are 3 cogs at the front ...

Gt Aggressor XC2 Grate ride

Advantages: good spec
Disadvantages: tyres

This bike has a really good spec, XT rear mech excellent proformer the only thing that lets it down is the tyres they are a bit prone to punctures when used on road and are really only for off road use. i think that the forks are a bit on the heavy side but still work grate. for the price range would be hard to beat this spec. in my opinion the bike rides really well on cross country trails and is vary smooth and well balanced. i have used my bike ...

Don't Do IT To Yourself!!!

Advantages: under £100
Disadvantages: Too heavy, horridle comfort, poor value for money...do i really need to continue?

I bought this bike from halfords after reading some pretty good reviews....i now realise the people who wrote these reviews are either extremely unintelligent or are just playing an evil prank on you! Possibly the worst bike i have ever ridden! The first time i rode this bike it fell to pieces...within 5 mins the chain snapped, then the handlebars came loose, then the brakes failed whilst the saddle moved causing some extremely foul language and ...
...only recommend this bike to someone who has wronged me in the past! I don't mean to be too critical but i really feel that it is disgusting that products as poor and UNSAFE as this should be sold to the public!!! Hope this is useful to you! I would strongly recommend paying more for a quality bike that will last you for years! Happy Riding! ...
