Advantages: Reasonably light, quick to erect, roomy, four season. Disadvantages: None
An outstanding tent for all weathers. We have not yet used it to its full potential. Myself, husband and daughter regularly travel with this tent. We backpack and find it light and easy to transport in our rucksacks. It can be erected within minutes, is extremely stable with the added bonus of no guy ropes! Waterproof and capable of seeing out the worst rain storms. Comfortably roomy with sufficient storage space for rucksacks at the rear. Good sized front vestibule with good ventilation suitable for cooking in when the weather is bad. Too many inside pockets to count! Very good ventilation. Excellent after care service received from MountainHardwear after one minor problem of ink on label running when it was packed away wet and staining inner tent. MountainHardwear were extremely helpful and replaced the inner tent within ...
Advantages: Very warm, great colour, comfortable & simple Disadvantages: slightly heavy
The orange glow of this sleeping bag kept us warm on the Northern Ice cap, south Patagonia. Our expedition took us through mozzie ridden temperate forest; snow and then onto the icecap itself. For a period of 6 weeks, this bag proved infallible.
Having been snowed in for a long period on the icecap, warmth was paramount. The Lamina remained warm even after becoming saturated with tent condensate. The neck baffle system worked a treat; it was simple and easy to use. The chunky zips were ideal to open, even with gloved hands, and over the 6 week duration the zips didn't 'catch' once.
If you're looking for a hard core synthetic sleeping bag then this definatley gets my seal of approval; if the icecap wasn't enough it's also stood up to some wet & windy wild camping in the UK lake district. ...
Advantages: Just a cool looking, well designed and functional tent. Disadvantages: None for me.
With T in the park weekend over and a great time had by all, I thought I would review the tent that was my home for the weekend. The tent in question was a Confidence Mars 4 Man Waterproof Dome Tent and although it is a 4 ?MAN? tent there were only me and my two girlfriends staying in this one (well that?s my story and I am sticking to it)!
Now I am no camper so I cannot really give too much comparison between this tent and any other except to say it was worlds apart from the old tents I used to camp in as a kid. This tent has one separate bedroom compartment with zippers which would have been useful if any of us had picked up some guy and needed a bit of privacy (BUT WE DIDNT)!!
It also had air vents so whilst being completely waterproof it did not become sweaty and therefore wetter inside than it was out, possibly the best thing ...
