...I have been wearing MountainHorse boots for years now including the ever popular 'Cheetah' boot.
I have always ridden in a pair of long leather boots and normally the zips have either gone on them or the stitching which is quite frankly damn annoying!
When I bought another horse about 2 years ago I decided to treat myself to a new pair of long leather boots but something which is a bit more durable and hardwearing. I dont know why I never thought of MountainHorse before! It might be because alot of their boots are quite chunky.
Anyway MountainHorse hadnt had the Sportive HighRider out for long and I had a look and went into my local saddlers to try them to see what they were like, I was smitten. They were so comortable and fitted really well, I have slim legs and normally I get a gap at the back of the boot but not with these...

Advantages: Painless. Disadvantages: Except for the initial expense.

Advantages: Quality, value for money Disadvantages: Bit clunky

If you your day consists of riding and yard work, it is a real pain to keep having to change your footwear, but you do not want to spoil good leather boots.
MountainHorse Sportive HighRiders are a really good compromise. They are comfortable to ride in (once they have been broken in!) but are tough enough to work in and not get wrecked.
They are also smart enough to compete in although I might not do higher level dressage in them as they are quite chunky.
The leather is good quality and has a stretch panel facility to make sure they really fit.
They have zips so are really easy to get on and off and it seems pretty robust. No one I know with them has had any problems with zips sticking or breaking.
There is a cradle support to the foot which makes you feel really secure...
