Advantages: A decent introduction to Cussler Disadvantages: Not always historically accurate
...I wouldn't exactly call myself a fan of Clive Cussler, but I've always enjoyed what little I've read in the past. I'm not usually too much of a fan of marine stories, which is why he's never been a first choice of mine, although he does write exciting stories. ''The Navigator'' is no exception.
Years before the birth of Christ, the Phoenicians hid something very valuable in a far away land. Thousands of years later, Thomas Jefferson, just nearing the end of his term as President of the United States, possibly discovers its whereabouts. However, there are people keen to prevent him from doing so and much of his paperwork is stolen and his friend Lewis murdered to ensure that the secret remains so.
Hundreds of years later, following the invasion or Iraq, Carmen Machadi is able to salvage a number of articles looted from Baghdad Museum...

...I am a great fan of courtroom dramas, which is one of the reasons why I enjoy John Grisham novels so much and I pretty much look on him as the master of this genre. Therefore, when I discover a book that claims that it's 'better than Grisham or your money back' I am bound to be interested. This was the claim made by the publishers of 'The Tenth Case' which meant that I found myself compelled to read it. I do think that Grisham at his best is pretty unbeatable although not all that he writes lives up to expectations. So could this book beat, or at least match, what Grisham does? Read on...

Advantages: Washes well, keeps you warm and looks ok too Disadvantages: Quite expensive
...I spend a lot of time outdoors, both through work and in my leisure time, so the approx. £100 investement for my Musto was well worth it. I have had it since xmas 2006 and it has been treated pretty badly throughout that time! I am a large animal and equine vet and wear my coat for work most days, so it really has had a tough time! This means my coat has to be relativly smart but also practical in any situation.
In the last year it has been used to pad the floor under lame horses, as a foal blindfold and, more than once, to mop up blood! It has washed well everytime (in my normal washing machine) and dries within 24hours inside. I would think it has been washed over 25 times since I have had it. All the zips are still perfect and there is no signs of wear and tear at all. Despite all the washing, it has never let in the rain yet! That...
