I spend a lot of time outdoors, both through work and in my leisure time, so the approx. £100 investement for my Musto was well worth it. I have had it since xmas 2006 and it has been treated pretty badly throughout that time! I am a large animal and equine vet and wear my coat for work most days, so it really has had a tough time! This means my coat has to be relativly smart but also practical in any situation. In the last year it has been used to pad the floor under lame horses, as a foal blindfold and, more than once, to mop up blood! It has washed well everytime (in my normal washing machine) and dries within 24hours inside. I would think it has been washed over 25 times since I have had it. All the zips are still perfect and there is no signs of wear and tear at all. Despite all the washing, it has never let in the rain yet! That is despite the awful weather last summer, when it had plenty of opportunity to leak! I also use the coat at weekends, for riding my own horses and for walking my dog. I compete in agility with my dog and there can be a lot of hanging around between classes, for which the musto is very useful as it is always cold at dog shows, even in summer! The pockets are fleece lined and have a zip closure, meaning they can be used to keep hands warm and to store items. The size of the pockets is good, a wallet, bunch of keys and a mobile can easily be spread between them without making too large bulges! In summary, the coat still looks as good as new and shows no sign of breaking yet, despite it's tough life! I will definately replace it with another of the same type when it finally gives up the ghost, though I am hoping that won't be for a while yet! The musto is available from saddlers, country shops and sailing shops. It comes in a variety of colours with contrasting linings, though I would recomend the navy/ grey!
