Synopsis
Bolt is an action hero, given super powers as a youngster, he now helps his companion Penny to find her father; you was kidnapped by The Green Eyed Man. Oh yes, Bolt is a dog and the star of a top TV show, the only problem is Bolt thinks the TV show is reality, having never been off the studio set. So when Bolt accidentally gets packaged into a box and posted across the country, just after filming a two part cliff hanger in which Penny gets captured, Bolt believes he?s the only one who can save her.
With the help of three pigeons, Bolt questions an alley cat (who he believes works for the Green Eyed Man) called Mittens. He forces her to help him find his way back to Hollywood to save Penny. Along the way they meet Rhino, a hamster who?s one of Bolt?s biggest fans, and together the unlikely trio set off to ...

Advantages: It's under 90-minutes Disadvantages: Pooly Directed and Edited, Incredibly Dumb
Jason Statham seems to have developed a habit for making movies that should be direct to video yet the majority of them have received theatrical releases. Now I'm not averse to Mr Statham, after all he has roots in Norfolk and has done well for himself, not only that but he's managed to keep some cred while trying to sell kit kats.
That aside I can safely say that Crank is absolutely terrible in every way and that's despite having a plot which on paper actually sounds pretty good. Statham plays the absurdly named Chev Chelios, an English professional hitman in LA. After giving some crime lord the nark, he finds himself knocked out and injected with a Chinese cocktail of drugs. With his heart close to giving up his beat, Chev must keep his adrenaline up to keep alive. What ensues is about an hour of crash bang wallop car chases ...

Advantages: Some fantastic action scenes, very imaginative plot. Disadvantages: Some of the dramatic scenes were more comedy than anything else.
My main reason for purchasing Crank was because Tom said he'd heard good reviews about it from friends and that Crank 2 was coming out in cinemas soon so we should buy it, watch it & then see the 2nd one in the cinema. I purchased our copy for £3.98 from Amazon.co.uk and it's been on offer at this price for several weeks now.
Jason Statham stars as Chev Chelios who is a hit man and has made some enemies along the way who kidnap him, beat him half to death & then inject him with a Chinese toxin which requires him to keep his adrenaline levels extremely high to prevent his heart from stopping permanently. This sees him doing various things such as having sex in public, taking drugs, fighting with a group of men, driving at high speed etc. Some of the things that he does are just ridiculous and you wouldn't even think of some ...
