The Powerball Neon Classic series is similar to the 250Hz Classic Powerball, but they have 6 high intensity LED's which glow brightly once the Powerball is spinning. The faster you spin, the brighter it glows.
Advantages: fun, adictive, fairly priced, health effects Disadvantages: care for the ball, can't drop it, can be hard to grip and start
...The NSDpowerball
Background
The original NSDpowerball is believed to have been designed for weightless workouts in space by NASA, however I can’t verify if this is true.
Although I do know it works and it works well, it is designed for exercise, therapy and sport and can be quit addictive.
The powerball strengthens fingers and hands through the grip of the ball the wrist, forearm biceps and triceps.
The finely tuned gyroscope within the ball creates force up to 40 kg but can be used for repetition or therapy at moderate speeds.
Therefore this ball is unique in its durability, and effects, its is also proposed and I can see why that people in certain careers such as sports like tennis badminton cricket etc plus musicians using guitars and drums would find the benefits astounding.

...Well have had this gadget for a few months now and am still using it regularly. Once you have got the hang of starting it, either with your thumb or the string provided, it can be quite an enjoying workout, using it for 10 minutes you will start to feel your arms aching so you know its working.
The powerball requires no batteries and is completely powered by the user. By a rythmical movement of the wrist the internal gyroscope is spun, which can go as fast as you can make it go, with the world record being about 16000 rpm.
As this is a neonpowerball one the interal gyroscope is spinning at about 3000 rpm the internal LEDs start to light up, and every 1000 rpm faster it goes another one lights up.
Personally i would recommend buying one which has the display attached to it, which shows your high score amongst other things...

You can buy them online or in any bigger sports or toyshop, they come in several variants, there are two major competitors - Powerball The Original and NSDPowerball, my review is about the latter.
-Construction-
Powerball is a ballanced wheel (a gyroscope) consisting of 2 main parts - inner ball that rotates around its axis which is set in a hollow globe that misses its bottom part. The globe's made of two parts that click into eachother and the join line is hidden under a tight-fit rubber band with NSD Powerbal logo on it. The inner ball has a groove into which a cord's inserted, wrapped around the ball and by pulling it loose quickly you get the ball moving.
It's possible and also recommended to open your powerball, to check...

The Arcade Fire aren’t even a band anymore; they’re a cult. A bunch of people who dress up and make creepy records and refuse to be in their videos. To be fair, it must be a nightmare trying to control them; when they’re not throwing ladders at each... more
