Run Forrest Run..... The Horizon Elite Treadmill

Advantages: relaible, excellent warranty, packed with features
Disadvantages: A touch expensive but worth it.

Welcome to the Logan world of fitness. Well today I?m having a look at the Horizon Elite treadmill. Now as a general rule I hate treadmills because when you can do something for free, why pay for it right? Well this is true, but there are some things you can do on a treadmill that you can?t when your out running. Logan investigates. Ok so where to begin, well first lets have a look at the functionality of the machine in question and I?ll try to add commentary to make sense of it all for you. Specifications: 2.5 horsepower (HP) continuous - 3 HP peak output This is a powerful engine, but the key component here is it?s a continuous motor. This basically means that the motor will hit the speed on the dial and stay at that speed. On peak motors, the speed really vary?s an awful lot, so you think your running at 10mph ...

Pro-Fitness Value Treadmill

Advantages: Solid, cheap, reliable, sturdy, good range of settings
Disadvantages: It's huge - but they all are! Can't make your own set programs

Finally we noticed this Value treadmill. At £200 it was quite significantly cheaper from a lot of the other models. Despite this it had many of the same stats as the pricier models and it was hard to see any sort of difference between them aside from the obvious price. Despite this, as it was SO much cheaper, myself and my mother were both very wary of buying it, with me convinced that it would break in two the first time one of us used it. After about two weeks of considering it, we finally gave in and bought it. Setting up the treadmill was quite ...

Review of Pro-Fitness Value Treadmill

Great treadmill for the money

Advantages: Sturdy, easily folded away.
Disadvantages: Manual incline

I bought this treadmill from Tesco Direct about two years ago and it is still going strong. It sits beside my desk and folds upwards which is great for keeping it out of the way. It is then easily opened using a key on the side and the main belt drops down to the floor. It has different speeds and also preset programmes which challenge your fitness by speeding up and slowing down at different times. It is very sturdy and has an emergency cut out switch that you can attach to your clothes and a drinks holder. The only thing I miss is the incline which you have to adjust manually when treadmill is off but for the money it is a great treadmill. ...
