...Newmarket is the only place within the UK to have two racecourse, the July Course and the Rowley Mile. Newmarket is famous for its racing community and it houses many famous horse racing attractions such as the National Stud, the Horseracing Museum and the British Racing School.
Racing in Newmarket takes place throughout the summer months and races are run on grass over flat courses with no jumps. The Rowley Mile operates race days in the spring and autumn while the July Course has meetings in the mid summer months.
PRICE
Prices vary at both courses throughout the year. Big meetings can cost up to £40 a ticket for the premier enclosures but tickets on these days can be as low as £8 in the garden enclosure. The different enclosures contain different facilites and viewing grandstands but you will still be able to view the racing...

...Our Day at the Races.
My Brother and Sister in law's local Pub the HAND & HEART in Peterborough, being a very much Community Pub have an annual trip to the July Meeting at Newmarket racecourse. So when they invited me to join I agreed, not that I know anything about horse racing.
The Day begins at about 09:00 at the Pub where mine Hosts Pauline and Eamon open their doors early.
The Bus is booked for 10:30, apparently the same firm they used last year, when it broke down, but the Pub near the Breakdown at Godmenchester impressed them so much that they have booked a buffet lunch stop there this year.
So at just after 10:30 we board the bus in Peterborough, the White Hart at Godmenchester is about half way to Newmarket, we arrive about 11:00, the Driver shouts back by 12;15.
The White Hart has done us proud, a very tasty...

II recently purchased the Logitech Momo Force Feedback racing wheel from www.scan.co.uk (previously reviewed by me on Ciao) for £65 (excluding p&p). The price has gone up slightly now though.
