Nike Golf CPR 3 Iron Woods

Advantages: Great for all ages and handicaps
Disadvantages: don't get a sand iron

...Well, last year a set of Slingshot irons were selling at around £399 for a 3 iron to Pitch wedge. I bought my son a set of these from American Golf. The irons are very well made and have lovely grips. each iron has a little 'bridge' over the cavity and make a 'swoosh' when you swing them, its a great sound, and I can see why they are called Slingshot. previous to the Slingshot irons my son had Macgregor DX and the Nike were a very good buy. My son's handicap came down 4 shots within a month and he does hit these irons straight and long, there is so much confidence in each iron, right down to the 3. I don't have my 3 or 4 iron in my bag but my son who is 16 really does hit them well. The only downfall is that there isn't a sand iron in the set, and it would have made better sense to add a sand and taken away the 3, as most people don... Read review

...I have been playing golf for many years now and after trying many different types of cheaper balls I though lets splash out and buy some Nike balls. I only bought three but my game has improved dramatically. A lot of research is put into making a golf ball and no expense is spared. I mean Nike must be doing something right because Tiger Woods and many other famous golfers would not be using Nike golf balls if they weren’t up to standard. Since I first bought my Nike golf balls I can drive the ball an extra 30 to 40 yards. I hook the ball less and my slice has been reduced as well. I can’t say that Nike alone can make my the new Tiger Woods, because no matter how much you spend you can still not be the best golfer. ...As I began to progress as a golfer I decided that I needed to splash out on a good set of Irons. My pro had told me that a good set of irons can tkae up to 3 strokes of your score. I think that he is wrong and that it is more like 5-6! These clubs are that good. Firstly the NDS stands for the Nike Distance Serires. So reading that you may think that you lose control if you use the set. That is definately not true as progressive offsetting technique throughout the set allows for perfect ball shaping. The wide sole of the club allows for excellent connection with the club and compared to the modern club these are relatively heavily. I found this extremely helpful as it stopped me hitting semi-fatted shots and topping my shots. THe NDS's are also cast from 431 stainless steel which is 25% softer than the average 17...
