Nike Golf Challenge Classic

Advantages: Very very long
Disadvantages: expensive to lose

...I tried a Nike Golf Nike One Black Golf Ball in a match play knockout yesterday, I play off 21 and my opponant was off 12 so granted i did have a few shot in hand. I have never used a Nike one black (the ball is white however) but was very impressed with the result. I found the ball which has a thin urethene cover and a enanced 408 dimples very long to hit, Longer than my usual PTS Solo golf balls. I was very impressed with the length and how straight it flew in the air. Off the tee I only missed two fairways but the length was very impressive. I won my game 3 and 2 and to be honest I didn't really need the shots. Really though i found the combination of the balls and my Ping G2 driver excellent. on the greens my ball did truely roll further and felt very nice to hit. ...These balls are a significant improvement on the Nike One. Only recommended for serious golfers with single figure handicaps. If you are looking for a distance go for the Nike Black, or a similar ball such as the Pro V1x, but for those players who place a higher emphasis on feel and spin control then the Gold is for you. Lovely for all those shots inside 100 yards, very consistent so you know exactly how the ball is going to react. The Nike Gold is similar to the Callaway HX Tour Black, but offers slightly more spin and slightly less distance. If you like to draw and fade the ball, it allows you to manipulate the flight with ease. This ball is perfect for the low handicapped player who places more emphasis on control than distance. ...I have been playing golf for many years now and after trying many different types of cheaper balls I though lets splash out and buy some Nike balls. I only bought three but my game has improved dramatically. A lot of research is put into making a golf ball and no expense is spared. I mean Nike must be doing something right because Tiger Woods and many other famous golfers would not be using Nike golf balls if they weren’t up to standard. Since I first bought my Nike golf balls I can drive the ball an extra 30 to 40 yards. I hook the ball less and my slice has been reduced as well. I can’t say that Nike alone can make my the new Tiger Woods, because no matter how much you spend you can still not be the best golfer.
