Advantages: Very very long Disadvantages: expensive to lose
...I tried a NikeGolfNike One Black Golf Ball in a match play knockout yesterday, I play off 21 and my opponant was off 12 so granted i did have a few shot in hand. I have never used a Nike one black (the ball is white however) but was very impressed with the result. I found the ball which has a thin urethene cover and a enanced 408 dimples very long to hit, Longer than my usual PTS Solo golf balls. I was very impressed with the length and how straight it flew in the air.
Off the tee I only missed two fairways but the length was very impressive. I won my game 3 and 2 and to be honest I didn't really need the shots. Really though i found the combination of the balls and my Ping G2 driver excellent. on the greens my ball did truely roll further and felt very nice to hit. I felt the disatnce almost with my first putt, and was never 2 foot...

Advantages: Solid with god feel Disadvantages: No better than Pro V 1's
...I used the balls for the first time several weeks ago and they were ok. They are no better than Pro V1s or Srixon ZURS however there is deffinatly no noticable difference that thay are clearly worse. The have generally good feel around the greens and are very nice to put with. They are solid golf ball with and of a nice weight, and when struck well they feellike they bomb off the tee. If they were about £5 a doz cheaper than ProV's then i owuld probably use them all the time. So if you like balls that feel solid with a good feel then these balls will suit you. However with them being a similar price to Pro V 1's I see no clear advantage that they have over them, so I will stick with the Pro V's....

Advantages: Great for all ages and handicaps Disadvantages: don't get a sand iron
...Well, last year a set of Slingshot irons were selling at around £399 for a 3 iron to Pitchwedge. I bought my son a set of these from American Golf. The irons are very well made and have lovely grips. each iron has a little 'bridge' over the cavity and make a 'swoosh' when you swing them, its a great sound, and I can see why they are called Slingshot. previous to the Slingshot irons my son had Macgregor DX and the Nike were a very good buy. My son's handicap came down 4 shots within a month and he does hit these irons straight and long, there is so much confidence in each iron, right down to the 3. I don't have my 3 or 4 iron in my bag but my son who is 16 really does hit them well. The only downfall is that there isn't a sand iron in the set, and it would have made better sense to add a sand and taken away the 3, as most people don...
