I bought these to replace my Great White which use to be my Dad's. I wanted a good solid club that I could keep for few years and that would improve my game but not so much that was relying on the clubs and not my own technique. I had seen these in my local pro shop and I liked the way they looked as they are oversized and that gives me confidence.

Other clubs that I was interested in were the Taylor Made RAC and MacGregor. The major deciding factor in my choosing of the Nike were the price, they were a lot cheaper then the Taylor Mades and looked more durable than the MacGregor.

I was able to try out a 6 iron at my local range and instantly the difference was obvious. Maybe it's to do with the advances in club technology but they just gave a sweeter shot than my Great White's did. I was able to get the ball up higher straight away and it would drop pretty much where I wanted it to.

I went for the stiff shaft on the advice of the shop as I have a very quick swing. I'm no expert on this so I took their advice and I'm happy with the way the clubs work. They are forgiving enough so that if you catch it off centre the ball will still go where you intended but when you catch it right you know you have. There is a little ping, which some golfers find off-putting, and you don't feel the ball at all, it just launches!

On the downside they are alittle heavy. This comes with the size of the head and the crossbar on the back of the club which gives them the weight to get the ball up so you can't really complain. Also when you are cleaning them, water gets in the back and can be difficult to get out making me a bit fearful that there may be some rust issues inside there somewhere.

Overall they are a good club and I'm glad I took the plunge finally. Other people have used them whilst we've been playing, better golfers then me, and they have found them good at geting the ball up but difficult to shape. I imagine this comes with the forgiiving aspect and is fine by me!
