I bought the Nike Mercurial Veloci Firm Ground Football Boots for my husband at Christmas. He's not a professional footballer but, he does like to play with his mates.

If you play football then you'll know that footwear is extremely important to enable you to perform at your very best. You need to invest in a good quality football boot and finding one you like can often be difficult. Nike Mercurial Veloci Firm Ground Football Boots – Marina/Volt are wonderful for match – level play and are excellent value as well as giving you the best in performance. My husband finds that these allow him to get the best out of his game without worrying about any discomfort.

As part of the Nike 'Speed' range this shoe is specially made to be lightweight and to give you an extra pace. There are other football boots made by Nike most of them are higher priced, but these boots are very competitively priced. They provide you with speed, but also comfort and once you wear these you'll find that they are not just any type of football boot, but the quality you would expect from Nike. The Nike Mercurial Veloci firm ground boot allows you to gain speed as well as keeping in control of the game. The traction grip is suitable for firm ground surfaces which is what you need during match – level play. They do not make you slip as much as some other shoes if the ground is a bit wet and they can easily be washed if they do get muddy.

What I like best about these boots is that they are designed with speed in mind first and foremost. These boots have been specially designed to the highest Aerodynamic standards. They are wonderfully made with attention to each contour and feature. Nike have taken these boots to the next level providing a boot that is made of strong material, but it is also light to wear which is what you need when you are running on the football ground. It is no good if your shoes are going to make your feet sweat a lot, but these shoes have been fine in that respect. That's the thing with Nike they have experience of manufacturing sports wear so you know that you can trust the brand. I've been purchasing products from Nike for as young as I can remember. I am a faithful customer and prefer Nike compared to the other sports brands on the market today.

The lightness of these boots makes them easier to run and play in. The sole is made out of direct injected heel studs for weight reduction, it has a vapor forefoot plate with multi directional traction pattern providing advanced traction and comfort. The revolutionary internal chassis creates instant acceleration great for picking up speed on the football pitch. Whilst picking up speed they also prevent you from slipping.

They are made out of soft, supple Teijin synthetic leather that conveniently adjusts to the foot shape whilst contoured speed mirrors the foot shape. I love the feel of the material you can tell that it is good quality. These shoes are designed with speed in mind so that you can easily pass your opponents on the football pitch. Whilst these shoes are not the most expensive football boots on the market they are, I think you will agree, affordable and from my own experience they are of a high quality standard. They still benefit from a large amount of top of the range Nike Mercurial Vapor IV Key technologies. It is hard to believe that a shoe of such good value would not compromise on quality.

The upper- soft, supple synthetic leather is great for your feet because it doesn't make your feet sweat and it is easier to kick the ball with. I think the choice of material is spot on for these boots and makes them stand out from the rest. The lace cover increases the ball contact area. Not only are they wonderfully manufactured using key technologies they actually look really stylish as well. These shoes are well cushioned in all the areas you need cushioning to enhance match – level play. These shoes make it easier to turn on the spot and change directions swifter and more safely. They give your feet the control you need and also provide good support against injury. They are also made to last because the material is of such high quality.

The cost for these football boots is around £39.99 which I'm sure you'll agree is excellent value for the quality you are getting and the fact that Nike have manufactured these. These would be wonderful for a gift or even just to treat yourself. There are a few different colours available and they all stand out from the crowd. They have a shaped ankle and moulded sole suitable for firm ground. These boots have been very popular with my husband's football friends who have nearly all purchased a pair. Unfortunately we are not on commission with Nike though I think we would have made a fortune by now. These truly are a football boot that are made to last.
