*Introduction*
I'm writing this review because I was searching for products to review on ciao and I stumbled across this and though that I might as well. Nike, for those who don't know, is a REALLY big sports company and one of the top in the world. They make a range of sports products and clothing, which covers many different sport. It ranges from Football to Basketball and from Running to Golf. Nike Total 90 III is a product from a range of football boots produced by Nike. However, they aren't just used as football boots, many people also wear them as normal trainers fro everyday use and casual wear. They also come in many different sizes and designs and have plenty of style.

*Nike Total 90 (A short history)*
Nike has a fair amount of history with the Total 90 range. The predecessor of this style was called the Nike Total 90 II (Can you believe it?) They were designed for the same purpose except they had different looks and the range of colour wasn’t so wide. Nike Total 90 III trainers were released in 2004 and took the market by storm. Within a week or 2 many people caught on and brought the trainers. When they first came out there were about only two styles available. However, as the year has gone on the range of colours has expanded so much that I’ve lost track of the different colours available.

*Range*
Nike Total 90 III trainers (or boots) have a fairly wide range depending on what aspect you are looking at. Because they are primarily designed for use in football they can come in soft ground or hard ground football studs. These are made to give you the ultimate grip depending on what kind of surface you normally play football on. There are also general football studs, which are arranged for average grass surface play.

Also available are TF (artificial grass) and court versions. The TF versions are for use on artificial grass or "Astro Turf" as it is known. Artificial grass is basically plastic type mater, which is made to look like grass with sand spread over it for some grip. When this gets wet it can be quite slippy, this is where the trainers come in. I have found these trainers to come in very handy on artificial grass when it is wet. They provide plenty of grip and control. The bottoms of the trainers are covered in small rubber studs, which provide the grip. This version can also be used for general wear as you cant really spot the rubber studs. A word of warning is that the rubber studs do start to wear out faster with concrete. Nevertheless they last you enough till you buy a new pair of trainers. The court version is like normal trainers with a flat bottom, these are also good for use in basketball although they aren’t really designed for that job.

Another part of the Total 90 III range is the variety of colour that you can buy them in. Each pair is made up of two colours. The front part (and some at the back) is usually the lighter colour and the rest is another colour. Also on the inside of each trainer is a circle with the number "90" contained in it. Again the colour of this is dependant on the colour of the rest of the trainer. Firstly, the trainers started off with white and grey or red and white. Gradually, more colour became available. I have personally lost track of all the colours available. The pair I own is coloured white and blue (Also pictured with this review at the end). Some examples of other colours available are: Gold and White, Pink and Black (for the female footballers out there), Mahogany and Chrome etc. and the list goes on. They are also available in many sizes and for males and females alike. They start from very small sizes for small babies up to the largest average size (whatever it may be).

*Nike Total 90 III*
These trainers are very good value for money and offer perfect control, good comfort and style, and good durability. For the TF version the durability is very good, however, this is changed by one factor, USE. The rubber studding does wear out but the depends on how much you use the trainers. If you only use them for general wear, out and about for casual wear then they should last you a good time. If you use them for only football, they will wear out depending on how much football you play. They only signs of wear and tear you notice are when you take a look at the studs. As time goes on these start to wear down and flatten. I find that the Nike Total 90 III trainers have a very good style and look good. They are aesthetically pleasing and attractive to the eye. Also, the laces are on the outer end of the boot for more comfort. At first I didn't think much of them but they grew on me and I started to like them. In the end I gave in temptation and brought a pair.

Once you try on a pair you will be surprised by the comfort. They are very comfortable and this is one of the factors, which makes you want to wear them for general wear. They are perfectly designed and have a very soft and comfortable interior. You also get perfect control on and off the football pitch. They give you perfect grip on the pitch and perfect control for general wear.

*Price*
The price of these trainers ranges from £19.99 up to about £ 39.00. However, this is the price for the TF version. For the real soft and hard ground versions you would naturally expect to pay more. This is because they are designed for more use and made more durable, not to mention the studs. £19.99 Total 90 III trainers are generally for smaller children. The price goes higher according to the store in which you buy them and they size. As you would expect junior size are cheaper and senior more expensive. You can also buy personalised football boots from the official Nike website. These do cost more because of shipping and the personalisation cost. You can choose to have your name on the sides and a number on the back. The number part comes in handy if you play for a team so you can have your shirt number on the back. They are also available for purchase from stores like JJB Sports, JD Sports, All Sports, Sports world and even eBay!

*In Conclusion*
I think that the Nike Total 90 III TF trainers are very good value as they offer all you could want and need. Good looks, style and good value, its all in there. I would most definitely recommend these to anyone and think that they are surely worth the investment.

I hope you found this review helpful and thank you for taking time to read it.
