Advantages: lots to keep you occupied Disadvantages: none that spring to mind
...The ever-increasing threat of the beer belly (prompted by the Adidas adverts) made me join a gym, but wait so many gyms so little time. Who to join?
Well after numerous short trips to the various gyms in my local area, I decided I liked the new Livingwell leisure gym in Luton.
It is located just at the bottom of Farley hill and Chapel Street built just inside the new Multi-story car park.
There is a hotel type style to the main entrance with a revolving door and a seated area next to the reception. Once you have swiped your membership card you can get through the barriers to the relaxing area – a group of sofas with a TV, coffee machine, newspaper stand and numerous Livingwell magazines sited around on the tables. ...Rohan, not a name synonymous with high street fashion, but if like me, you travel, hike, mountain bike or whatever else in the great outdoors, you may have heard of this brand of specialist clothing. And if you have not, then you may be surprised by what you read.

Rohan produce a range of outdoor clothing. Not your G suits or thermal artic exploration stuff, but lightweight high quality clothes, ideal for the seasoned traveller, in any climate and activity.
HISTORY
The company was formed in 1975. There vision to change the way clothes designed for travel and leisure. They adopted a back to basic philosophy, with the design and fabrics used. ...Nothing quite sums up the British 'country set' as the ubiquitous waxed cotton 'Barbour' jacket.
The founder (John Barbour) was actually a Scotsman, and formed the company which bears his name in the Northumbrian port of North Shields, supplying oilskins for the fishing industry.
Over time, he diversified to provide a range of clothing which suited practically any outdoor pursuit where rain and harsh weather are important factors.
To this day, the company produce a vast array of clothing items mostly catering for the "huntin' shootin' and fishin" set - including jackets, trousers, shorts, gillets, hoods, equestrian gear etc.
It was only in the 1980s that the wax jacket became popularised in the 'yuppie bible'; 'The Sloan Ranger Handbook' in which - Barbour was the die-facto brand of choice.
