Advantages: strong enough, value for money, not that smelly
Disadvantages: Not strong enough for serious jungle work

...I bought this product this year after previously owning the 100 deet repellent, which is far stronger. However i will have to say that if i had the choice against i would definitely buy the 50 instead and for the following reasons: 1. It is not as smelly as the 100 deet and therefore if you plan on walking into nice restaurants or just being with company in general you can get away from it, unlike the stronger stuff which makes you smell like a chemical plant. 2. It is far stronger than any home-brand names you get on the High Street and therefore i found that after a 3 week trip to a malaria infected area i hardly had any mosquito bites. 4. Advantages: Easy use spray, gentle on the skin, works!
Disadvantages: Occasional allergy

...I am an experienced traveller to Florida and I am very well aware of the need for care in the strong hot sunshine particularly through the summer months. I use sunscreens were necessary but more often than not I stay out of direct sunlight during the fiercest hours. I am also aware of the need for another preventative spray to be used when the sun is going down and when out and about at night. Biting insects come in all shapes or forms. The most well known of course is the mosquito but you will soon become aware of the tick, chigger and 'no-see-um'(a tiny midge or gnat). I am sensitive to any of these bites that initially produce very itchy blotchy red lumps and which over the course of several days turn into hard and painful blisters. ...where there is a risk of infectious bites- I believe something stronger is needed for these places. • Avoid contact with inflamed or sore skin • Not to be used near naked flames ~~VERDICT~~ An easy to use effective spray to keep yourself from being bitten. I couldn't smell any real smell, but whatever smell it was emitting was obviously repugnant to small biters! We actually came away from a two week holiday with not a bite between us. The spray can is small enough to carry in a bag and because it's plastic, there is no danger of it smashing. Remember if you are carrying it around to put the lid on or you will end up with insect spray in your bag.
