Nomad Bugproof Neet Deet 100ml

Advantages: strong enough, value for money, not that smelly
Disadvantages: Not strong enough for serious jungle work

...I bought this product this year after previously owning the 100 deet repellent, which is far stronger. However i will have to say that if i had the choice against i would definitely buy the 50 instead and for the following reasons: 1. It is not as smelly as the 100 deet and therefore if you plan on walking into nice restaurants or just being with company in general you can get away from it, unlike the stronger stuff which makes you smell like a chemical plant. 2. It is far stronger than any home-brand names you get on the High Street and therefore i found that after a 3 week trip to a malaria infected area i hardly had any mosquito bites. 4. Although it is strong enough to keep all mozzies at bay with exception of the dreaded piri piri fly, it is not strong enough to really damage your clothes or make your skin feel... Read review

My wife has never been bothered by bites in the past and therefore sees no reason to use this product. Our results were arrived at this way. One user - no one bitten: 100% success. Three non-users (this included me prior to the start of the trial!) - two people bitten: 67%. During this two week period the risk fluctuated between moderate and high (with 'very high' spikes on three evenings). Advantages: Works great

...especially as the bottle stated that 300ml would only proof a single fleece item 3 times, regardless I still purchased this product. When I got back home I sat down and read the bottle over and then decided to give it a go, they recommend that you wash whatever it is you're going to proof with Nikwax Tech Wash first but I have never done that and It's never been a problem. Alas, using the stuff is easy, throw whatever it is you're going to proof into the washing machine and pour 2 caps full; that's 100ml of Polar Proof into the detergent dispenser. (You need 3 cap fulls/150 ml for 2 - 3 items) then set your machine to run a 40˚ synthetic cycle. If you don't have a washing machine then you can also hand wash, simply soak your item(s) in a bowl of warm water then poor in 100ml for 1 item or 150ml for 2-3 items; Agitate the water to mix...
