All standards and ages are catered for. Qualified riding instruction is available and riding is always accompanied. Tuition is on group or private basis and tailored to suit your needs. Hacks are by the hour or two hours through the nearby coastal park or Cleadon Hills and Marsden Craggs. Whether young or old, riding is an excellent healthy outdoor hobby. Many customers comment on how stress-relieving a lesson or hack is.
Advantages: excellent tuition and horses Disadvantages: might have to wait to get a place
...I used to ride at snowdon but stopped when i got my own horse as i couldn't afford both. I went their for several years after starting riding at another school that although it became an ABRS school it was actually shocking. On discovering Snowdon, i had to wait to get a place but it was worth the wait as the tuiton, facilities and horses were all fantastic. i had many class lessons and a few privates and learnt a lot of new skills. I wouldnt class the horses as typical ridingschool ponies - they are a much better standard. In the summer i did a bit of xc which was always good fun and my jumping skills increased. Everyone was really friendly who worked there and it had a pleasant atmosphere. I made many good friends on my riding lessons as wel.....

Advantages: well maintained, good facilities, hacking in Trent Park, easy to get to Disadvantages: busy, disorganised, expensive
...***Facilities***
Trent Park Equestrian Centre (TPEC) is close to Oakwood Station (Piccadilly Line) and also has plenty of parking. They have a large selection of horses (over 100) so can cater for various abilities and the horses themselves seem fairly happy. The yard is always being cleaned and the three schooling areas (two of which are under cover) are well maintained. There's a small cafe and other clients seem friendly. Generally, the instructors that I have been placed with have been friendly, enthusiastic and attentive.
***Riding Wear***
You can rent boots, crops and hats from TPEC for your lesson. They also sell a limited range of riding wear. The kit can be expensive, so I would advise you to perservere with renting if you are new to riding, untill you are sure you want to continue.
***Time keeping***
The centre has...

Advantages: Stunning views, well trained horses, friendly hosts, amazing value for money! Disadvantages: Very hot in summer! Take lots of suntan lotion!
...(yes, canyons, it sounds like arizona or something not spain!!!)
They've got a really good arena aswell, so if you want any lessons or want to just do some jumping or flatwork then thats there for you. Their horses are really well trained and they really know what they're doing. I love Spain but i've often found some Spanish trekking centres sort of treat their horses like cattle. Carole and Robert treat their horses like family and they are very experienced. Carole ran BHS approved ridingschools in the UK all her life practically and you can really tell. I would class myself as an experienced and very competent rider who's just been out of the saddle for a long time due to work and other commitments. going to Villa Roxmar just made me pine to own my own horses again!! Or at least make more of an effort to get out and ride back...
