I have listened to Alicia Keys before and liked her and find her really quite talented but never before have I been tempted to buy one of her albums until now. What prompted me was the amazing song Empire State of Mind that I really enjoyed listening to on the radio and so bought the album on the back of that song and the rest of it does not disappoint either!
Alicia has been around since 2001 when her debut album, Songs in A Minor sold over 12 million copies worldwide making her the best-selling new artist and best-selling R&B artist of 2001.She has now won 12 Grammy awards to date and according to an article I read, Billboard magazine named her the top R&B artist of the 2000?2009 decade, establishing herself as one of the best-selling artists of her time.
The Element of Freedom is her fourth album. It was released in December 2009 ...
Advantages: Trying a new direction into dance/R'n'B Disadvantages: 2 or 3 tracks aren't up to scratch with the rest of the album
Freedom is akon's third album, which certainly has a different twist to it compared to his last two previous attempts. To me his last two albums were more r'n'b/hip hop/rap. This new album sounds more commercial with a r'n'b/pop/dance feel to it. The album contains all 14 tracks which can be listened to over & over again as they are so catchy:
1)Right Now (Na Na Na) - The lead track from the album which has stormed the charts all over the world. With its catchy chorus and holiday vibe this is a brilliant way to start the album.
2)Beautiful - The first collaboration on the album with the help of Colby'O'Donis & Kardinall Offishall. Yet again a simple catchy chorus with the help of a great dance beat. To me the tune sounds like Alice Deejays hit 'Better off Alone'
3)Keep You Much Longer - A nice summery song, great lyrics ...

Lords and Ladies features the discworld's most famous of witches Nanny Ogg,Esmee Weatherwax,Magrat Garlic.
Lords and ladies continues where witches abroad left off.
In witches abroad, a Jester Discovers that he is the next in line to be king.
Before becoming king he had a relationship with a witch named Magrat.
Now King Verence II of Lancre is set to marry Magrat Garlic and she is set to become Queen of Lancre a job not very familiar to her as she has only ever been a witch in her life.
Whenever Terry's Books features the witches I know I am going to spend half the book just laughing this book is no different.
My only complaint about Terry Pratchett's books is they all seem like they have copied a story or two in them.
The part in which the three witches travel in the beginning together while Nanny Ogg plays her banjo and sings ...
