The wire guard is indeed there and I am sure it will protect from some nicks and cuts but I have got a cut on my leg where I was shaving.
The Aloe Vera does indeed make my legs feel smooth immediately after the shave but in no time the effect has worn off. My legs are feeling really stubbly and need another shave.

The handle is supposed to be longer for better control. I do not have very big hands but I found it a bit short for my liking. The shape of the handle reminded me of a femail body, maybe I'm a bit perverse.
