Rather than spending an excessive amount of money on a fairly standard piece of equipment i would reccommend purchasing the OneBoby 26" Anti-burst Gym Ball. I am a qualified fitness instructor and personal trainer and see many people buying expensive products that have minimal advantages to the lesser priced products.

This gym ball is an excellent product which i would recommend. In my personal opinion you will complete a much more effective abdominal workout using the gym ball rather than completing abdominal workouts on the floor, the reason for this is that whilst you are maintaining balance you are using all your core muscles alongside your abdominal muscles.

You are not limited with this equipment to just working your abs, you can lie on your front on the ball and complete dorsal raises to stregthen your back, you can place the ball against a wall and lean against it with the ball at approx the middle of the back and use this as a support to complete squats for your legs and you can even use the gym ball in place of a weights bench by placing your feet flat on the floor and your back on the bench, or my just sitting on the ball.
This is widely used by many personal trainers due the fact that by maintaining posture on the ball whilst completing the exercise you automatically pull in the stabalising muscle around your middle which will further maximise the results.

This equipment is very affordable, extremeny easy to use and much more comfortable than working out on a hard floor

Good review, some nice tips in there. 'Anti-burst' sounds like a challenge to me, if ever I heard one!

A good review and welcome to Ciao. Perhaps you could add how much one costs and where you can get them from? x
