I own one of these steppers, not this particular model, but from the read up it does exactly the same. I purchased mine for around £40.00 from Argos. It has an adjustor which you turn to tension the feet pedals but other than that, there is nothing to it. It also has a computer which tells you how many strides you have done, how many calories you have burned (supposedly) how long you have been working for etc. The one thing I don't like about this machine is that the computer cuts off after a couple of minutes of inactivity. I like to use it in short bursts over the day but I find I have to write down what I have done each time and then add them all together at the end of the day. This machine also has the lateral action and yes, you definitely do feel the advantages of using this machine. It is small and compact, although quite heavy so ideally you need somewhere to store it that is close to where you want to use it. I tend to store mine on the landing but then the problem being that if you want to use it whilst watching tv, you have to be quite strong to carry it down to the lounge. This machine also has the bands for toning the arms at the same time, which is really strenuous and you definitely know when you have been using these. All in all, this is quite a good little machine and it certainly gives you a cardiovascular workout. I would recommend it to potential buyers.
