Advantages: It's relatively short Disadvantages: It's unoriginal in all aspects
survive and that one of the players is a highly skilled computer hacker, how come the term "electromagnetic pulse" never springs to mind as a way to destroy them? The whole concept feels tired and every aspect has previously appeared elsewhere. The laziest example is the final voice-over monologue that is a very lame steal from "Terminator".
As is usual in Hollywood movies, the cast are all too old for the parts they play. As Mattie, Kristen Bell comes across as a sullen and petulant teen with too much eye make-up. She's the sort of bland movie good girl who is too stupid to empathise with. She doesn't appear to notice her friends are vanishing without trace and doesn't run when she has the chance.
