Advantages: Easy to apply and doesn't attract Dirt Disadvantages: Slightly more expensive than others
...of the product at hand!
I have always been a fanatic about keeping my bicycles clean and well tuned. From BMX to road, to mountain bikes, the key to enjoyment on two wheels is to make sure that the bike is properly maintained. Chain lubrication presents somewhat of a challenge (especially for bikes used off road or in harsh elements. Too little lube and you introduce friction and possibly corrosion, too much lube and dirt attaches itself to the chain and/or the lubricant flies all over the place making the bike a grimy mess. White Lightning is a wax-based chain lube that attempts to address this issue. It lubricates and protects the chain but also adheres well, without attracting dirt buildup. White Lightning is available in liquid or spray bottles. It also comes in a "Race Day" version. My experience is limited to the original formula...

Advantages: does the job Disadvantages: a little pricey
...I have owned a variety of horses and ponies in my horsey years so far and 2 of these have been in a ‘less than perfect’ condition when I took them on and each time I have used blue chip original to give that all needed boost of health.
The first was a 15hh welsh section D that was 4 years old at the time, she was newly backed, incredibly excitable but hugely underweight, I used blue chip as a supplement to her daily feeds and within 6 weeks (1 sack) the improvement was unbelievable, I had a good size mare with a glossly coat, bright eyes and yet still a trainable temperament.
The second was a 16.2hh exrace horse that I had found at a dealers yard, when I saw him he was standing at the back of his stable, dull eyes and coat and I could see his ribs. After about 3 months on blue chip supplement he was a new horse, again...

Advantages: lightweight, low rolling resistence. longevity Disadvantages: tend to start looking grubby after a few rides
...I've tried many different makes of tyres in my years of racing bikes, whether it be crits, road racing or time trails and these tyres are up there with the best, for a fraction of the price. These tyres weigh about 235g each, which is pretty light. The give a nice compliant ride at high pressures (140psi) and roll exceptionally well. I used to swear by Michelins but always found they wore out within about 1000 miles. These vredsteins seem to keep going ang going. The surface does tend to crack which give me concern at first but there seems to be no loss in grip or any other noticable from new, and they do get grubby looking very quicky. They grip in the wet as good as in the dry and I use these all year round on both my 'best' race bike and winter trainer without any problem. I have only suffered 2 punctures in the last 4 years...

A shorter review this time, because I don't have an awful lot to say about this slab of metal history. Having been dropped from Gull Records after the excellent 'Sad Wings of Destiny,' which remains a Judas Priest classic to this day, the band was... more
