Everything that's claimed is true.. I've been out in tropical style cloudbursts wearing my Barbour and hood. Everything below the jacket hem was soaked ie the lower calves of my legs and feet. ...really quite self explanatory- wear it and avoid the very worst of the wet. Once the cylinder is opened, there is a thin plastic bag; open this and the poncho is inside. It is basically a very lightweight poncho with a hood and two short sleeves. It would be better if they were really long but wetness of the arms can be avoided by pulling the arms into the body part. ...room. Personally, as a pixie footed person, used to buying 'one size fits all' which blatently doesn't, the fact that socks can actually fit, and that this adds to comfort, was a revelation to me. The Tactical Series undergear from 5.11 is designed to be worn under body armour, to keep the wearer cool, dry and comfortable. I purchased a top to use as a base layer when wearing a rucksack. ...taking a coat. # 5.11 claim the flat-lock seams are very comfortable next to the skin - I have not found this to be the case; the seams around the neck and top of the shoulder get extremely itchy as I get warmer.
