Tents

Just when you thought that tunnel tents couldn't get any bigger or more spectacular, along comes the Outwell Vermont range. These are fully enclosed tents that feature Outwell's...
more...Sealed Groundsheet System throughout the main living space and bedroom areas, protecting the inside from the elements, dirt and insects. Within this area is sleeping space for 6 people along with a built-in wardrobe/storage area - which are becoming ever more popular. The front section of the tent is essentially an enclosed porch area which features a bathtub groundsheet. Unzipping each corner of the front panel will also enable the creation of a huge sun canopy for those hot summer days. Just as with the Montana range, the construction is Outwell's Power Stability System Steel Frame but while the Vermont L is the same width as the Montana 6 and 12 it is longer than both, considerably so in the case of the Montana 6. The feeling of grand space is added to by the panoramic windows and the 3 doorways. The Vermont L features a 6-berth inner in a 4-2 configuration with the option of 'dropping' the RH two-berth inner if more living space is required.

No small light thing this but a great family/group tent for those longer breaks.
Supprisingly easy to put up - much easier than the dome we'd used previously - being a straight tunnel just means starting at the back and lifting eacg section as you move forward.
Inside the bedrooms include storage pockets - essential for glasses etc when you go to bed - but if you are using air beds you will only fit three in the larger room and two in the smaller so probably should be looked at as a five birth tent. The central room has a sewn in ground sheet that reduces drafts and means that it can be warmed up nicely should the wether not be as warm as you'd hoped - when is it! The pale grey roof allows loads of light into this section even when the windows are covered. There are a number of storage pouches included and a wardrobe with hanging rail.
The tent has electric hook up entry points and velcro hoops to retain the cable run up to the cental lamp hanging point.
But the best bit has got to be the enclosed poarch. Seperate removable ground sheet - easy cleaning - but fully enclosed so you can stop and remove wet gear here before entering the inner tent when its raining. It is also more than big enough to cook in. On sunny days the whole front wall can be raised up to form an even larger sun canopy, perfect for relaxing under while the children play!
If you're after a tent with a little bit of extra luxury this one will neet the bill.
