Advantages: Great ride Disadvantages: Cut corners on some componentry
...From the first moment you step astride this bike you will want one . Althogh the frame is a little on the thin side it has that typical cromoly feel to it . The bike has lots of great componentry on board and so you will feel like a pro. The chainset is good value for the price of the bike . Paying this sort of amount of money on a bike I would expect to see Shimano XT or something better the forks Jett xc's are a fab set of cross country forks and for the rider who is just getting started this bike may or may not be the one for you....

Advantages: Very strong, light, comfortable and parts are easily replaced Disadvantages: anti bacterial footbed could be improved and wheels should be of a better standard
...Well, since i got these skates in January, I have improved no end. I did have a pair of Oxygens and since trying the K2's I have realised how good they really are, although the soul space is not as wide as some of my friends skates i.e Salomons the lock on is excellent and grinding is super smooth. The skates feel very stable and strong yet relatively light. They are very comfortable due to the 'soft boot' technology and upgrades are relatively cheap. These skates can live indefinately with all parts being replaceable.
The downside is that for a pro - skate I would have expected more from the wheels, as I would have preferred better ones for example 'Senate' also the anti - bacterial footbed is not particularly effective after several months of use (but that might just be my feet!)
Overall these skates are well worth buying...

Advantages: Great Frame, good gears, hi spec forks Disadvantages: Not the lightest, steel stem, cheapo peadles
...I purchased a 2000 Outpost FS just before Christmas for £200. The list price is £350 but check out the internet bike dealers. www.bonthronebikes.co.uk for example.
Delivery was prompt although outside the advertised next 2 day schedule.
The bike features a Chromoly frame, as advertised on the dealers web site, not Aluminuim as advertised on the GT web site. That slight dissapointment the frame is very good, the triple triangle design being a GT trademark and as an engineer I can see it's advantages.
The Drivetrain is all Shimano as you may expect, the surprise for a relitivly cheap bike is that it is mainly the Atlus range, with only a few components being from the Acera range.
There are 24 gears, which sounds a lot but if you use the bike on road as well as off you will rarely use the lower 16!
The bike came with RST forks, 381 CL...
