The Vaio S4M/S is a good laptop, offering good speeds, a decent amount of RAM and the classic good looks of most Sony products.
Howevr, i have found it to be a little unreliable sometimes, occasionally crashing. Also, it isn't too sturdy; don't drop it! Having said this though, these qualities are offset by the magnificent customer support that i have found from Sony.
Other advantages are the great quality screen, with the x-black technology that really makes a difference. Also, the storage is quite good, but if you want to use it for movies, definitely buy an external hardrive, it is worth the investment.
Overall, a good laptop, though really works better as a desktop due to its size. I would recommend it.

Really handy as it supports my current p4 prescott HT and allows upgrade potential. It might seem like an obvious point, but finding a reliable board that I could use indefinitely on a p4 HT and then a dual core in the future was challenging.
