Paste definitely works best during the summer months when the fish are more active. Like I said with the corn though, if you know of somewhere that is well enough stocked to allow you to catch all year round, then it will probably still work there when it gets colder. Also, during the ... Read review

(+) Cheap to do when done correctly, good results. (-) FEAR FACTOR - You will look silly if you do it without results. Difficult to carry a large amount.
Advantages: easy to use eventually. Catches loads (carp especially) Disadvantages: Paste takes a while to get the hang of, but don’t worry if a few things go wrong initially. Not such a good all round bait. Better for the bigger fish.
...engulf the hook, then the paste needs to be soft enough for you to be able to pull the hook out of it on the strike (so that you can catch the fishies).
Often people will make their own pastes. This is definitely a cheaper way of doing it. All you need is some crushed trout pellets, maybe a few flavourings if you really want to use them, some water, and possibly an egg. Just mix them all together and spend some time making it all look as squidgey ... ...the float just over-depth, the paste (which would sink the float if set to shallow) is resting on the bottom, with quite a tight line between it and the float. You can then drag the pole to the side slightly, pulling the line between the pole tip and the float tight so that the float is nearly being dragged under. This basically means that you have a tight line between the pole and the bait. This makes bites unmissable as the float will often really ...

Advantages: Relativley Cheap, 6mm latex Disadvantages: Useless in wet weather
...overall an average pair of keeper gloves from a usually top notch company.
I have had uhlsport gloves in the past which have been excellent as well as having a reasonable life span. When i saw the pro special i thought I'd give them a try. I purchased them in black, white and orange although i think they are available in other colour schemes. They have the usual 6mm soft latex palms and 3D backhand technology which apparantly flexes with your hand.
Unlike other keepers gloves that contain finger support or anatomically moulded in the shape of your hands, this glove has nothing. They are very flat and plain.
The gloves were ok until the palms began to age, these were brought back to life with a quick hand wash. After a while though general wear and tear crept in and the gloves were past rescuing. The grip in the palm began...

Advantages: Solid Irons which will last through the ages Disadvantages: Hard to compete with the new technology
...A well respected and tour proven iron. Obviously it will not be found in the bags of current professionals and many club golfers but it will always be a thoroughbred in the ranks of all time irons. If given a chance to ever purchase a set of these, or to use the popular 2-iron or sand wedge from the series, it is hard to look past them.
As a professional, I can stand by the quality of ping and especially this iron. I still do own several of these irons although not in my current bag set up, I would class them in my back-up range and that says a lot for an iron that was produced around two decades ago....

Advantages: speed, looks and pure surfability Disadvantages: cost, at 340 quid this is quite an expensive board
...i bought a beach beat board just before xmas 2000, i ordered it through harpoon looies surf shop in afflecks palace in manchester. this board was shaped by chops lascalles himself and is a fantastic shape. it has incredible floatiness, and for someone who is the wrong side of 13 stone this board is amazing, while i am about 15 stone and only surfing mini mals for the past 3 years, i found that this model, 7 foot, gave me instant short board skills, i found myself doing (badly) what i had seen the pros do on videos for years. it has a fish tail which allows very quick turns and is easy tail slide. i love this board so much. i would advise anyone who can dont buy an off the peg board, get it made for you it makes all the difference...
