...I had thought that it was next to impossible to find a coat that was provided warmth in the winter but could also be used as a raincoat at other times of the year without causing you to overheat. I also didn't think that I'd find an outdoor jacket that I could wear in the city without standing out. However, a combination of fleece insulation, zip vents and a sensible colour make this jacket suitable for a variety of situations . The price was also much lower than I expected. Firstly, there is plenty of pocket space: one inside pockets, two large sidepockets, and pocket on each sleeve. The sidepockets are even large enough to fit small books or maps. There is also fleece insulation on the inside that make the jacket ideal for winter use. It's just a shame that it's not detachable, but the vent zips in the armpit area help... Read review

...of socks and then a pair of thick walking socks over the top for comfort and warmth. **********Width/Size********** I am an E/F width, I have one foot sized 7 ½ and the other an 8, which is a pain, which is why I couldn't go up to the next size as the 7 ½ foot would have been too lose in a nine so I have a size 8 which is quite a good snug fit. The boot does however only go up to a size eight, but there is always men's?! The width is good for me too, however I keep the lower section of the boot loser when I tie my laces and the ankle support quite tight to secure my foot and prevent it slipping in my boot. **********Price********** Peter Storm is often a slightly cheaper make to other competitors like North Face, Regatta, Gore-Tex or Berghaus. ...I know horses are an expensive business and you look at the clothing catalogues and jackets seem to cost about £100-£150. This are the more expensive names like Mountain Horse. I have owned my saddlecraft jacket for about one and a half years. I was lucky enough to win it. I have looked in catalogues and found it not bad for value. This jacket is very warm and keeps me very dry if it is pouring outside except for the hood which is just a thin layer of material. It has three pockets one inside the jacket, a drawstring at the waist and zip followed by push buttons. I have washed my jacket several times and it is easy to clean and look after and it keeps it colour very well.
