Advantages: low on the tendon so comfy at the back of the foot Disadvantages: midsole just not stiff enough for people of 13 stone
...I bought Scafell because I needed some lightweight waterproof walking boots and was bored with getting my feet soaked in soggy trainers. These might be waterproof, they certainly worked in some light rain for an hour but the soles just don't have the stiffness for anyone my weight 13.5st / 89Kg I feel every pebble, and its not nice. I normally walk on the North downs across fields and the paths are not that rough but I feel like my feet are being prodded and squished by every tiny item I stand on. To compare, my running trainers are much better at soaking up the bumps. Also the padding seems very thin around the toes making downhill walking prone to rubbing.
If you are looking for lightweight shoes on very easy terrain and are say, half my weight you might consider them....

Advantages: Outstanding performance in mud Disadvantages: performance on other surfaces is middle to poor
...All tyres are a compromise. The mud Pro is a mud specific tyre, and at this it excels. However it's excellent mud performance is at the expense of it's performance on other terrains.
On MUD: There are 2 thoughts for riding through mud
1) fat tyres run at low pressures to float over the surface.
2) thin tyres at high pressures to cut through the muck and find grip below.
These are firmly in option 2. And in mud they are outstanding. I have personally ridden through 3/4 mile of constant mud, some if it up to 18 inches deep, and while my mates were left carrying their bikes, I just ploughed on through.
Seems to work best at around 50 psi. The narrow profile and tall knobs really do cut through the surface, and where other tyres will just spin these will find grip. As long as you have the power to keep the rear wheel turning this tyre...

Advantages: Great Snap, Responsive and the lightest board on the market for women! Disadvantages: non that l have found yet!
...this board is fast and responsive. I always thought is was all about the rider not the board but this taught me otherwise!
Handles excellently and great over choppy terrain ideal for both park and piste.
The edges are stain less steel which means that this is a very low maintenance board. The base is an infinate ride which means it is very durable. Due to the base being pre impregnated with wax there is a base ofr the first wax you do to build on.
colour scheme is excellent but not too girly. Have rode this board for a week on varied terrain and found no problems with it. it cut into ice a treat and there wasn't that much chatter to be felt through the base.
FIVE STARS!...

One of my favourite things about going on holiday is the fact I get extra time to read. In the evening when there is no internet to distract me, only 5 terrestrial channels and a baby in bed the best thing to do is t curl up on the sofa and read.... more
