...of socks and then a pair of thick walking socks over the top for comfort and warmth. **********Width/Size********** I am an E/F width, I have one foot sized 7 ½ and the other an 8, which is a pain, which is why I couldn't go up to the next size as the 7 ½ foot would have been too lose in a nine so I have a size 8 which is quite a good snug fit. The boot does however only go up to a size eight, but there is always men's?! The width is good for me too, however I keep the lower section of the boot loser when I tie my laces and the ankle support quite tight to secure my foot and prevent it slipping in my boot. **********Price********** Peter Storm is often a slightly cheaper make to other competitors like North Face, Regatta, Gore-Tex or Berghaus. Advantages: Keeps you warm, dries quickly .

...The Tactical Series undergear from 5.11 is designed to be worn under body armour, to keep the wearer cool, dry and comfortable. I purchased a top to use as a base layer when wearing a rucksack. Most of the 5.11 Tactical Series undergear comes in what they call 'muscle mapping' style i.e. tight. As I don't really want a t-shirt 'mapping' my beer-belly, I went for the crew loose fit version, to leave a bit more to the imagination. # 5.11 claim these will keep you cool when it is hot and warm when it is cold - I have found this t-shirt to keep me warm when it is cold and roasting hot when it is warm! In warm or hot weather, I just have to take it off as it is too hot, but in cool/cold weather, it is a brilliant warm base layer. ...My experience of the Coolmax Shinguards is a little different from most people's as I never actually wear them for football because I don't play! Hopefully this review will still be useful though. My job involves moving a lot of heavy equipment, most of which is at shin level, and after painfully gashing my shins for the 1000th time I decided to protect them. I haven't been able to find any suitable industrial-type protective guards so I decided to try a pair of football shinguards instead. I have been through many shinguards trying to find a pair that provided sufficient protection but are also comfortable enough to wear for 18-20 hours at a time. The Coolmax shinguards are my favourite yet. They have a tough protective polypropylene shell and foam padding and are lined with Coolmax material that does a great job... Read review
