Advantages: Well paid, can work when you want, no planning Disadvantages: Behaviour, unpaid holidays, lack of social side
I have been doing supply teaching for over a year now. I thought I?d write about my experiences and give some advice to those who might be thinking of supply work.
BACKGROUND:
I trained to be a teacher in 2006-7. I had never wanted to be a teacher, it was never something I always dreamed of being. I had always planned to be a lawyer. I went on to do a Masters in museum studies and thought seriously about working in that field but the money was really bad and there were a lot of people trying to get very few jobs. I took a year out to think and to earn some money. The ex-Mr Tart wanted to go into teaching (he was also a historian) and I thought that seeing as I wanted to work in History there were worse things I could do. Not ...

Advantages: efective little cleaner Disadvantages: Noisy
I have a small home so when I needed a new vacuum cleaner I chose the Dyson DC24 which is a smaller version of the standard model. It cost £189.99. I was expecting almost a child sized vacuum cleaner but there is not really much difference at all.
It was so simple to put together, there are peel off stickers on the unit to explain things as you go. It only took me 5 minutes to have it assembled. The ball makes vacuuming effortless, and the head of the vacuum is narrow so its easy to get under the sofa, low tables, etc.

The power cable is short and not retractable which can look a bit untidy if it is ...
Advantages: Large collecting bin and great suction! Disadvantages: Not so Lightweight, and Power Cord could be longer.

I did a little internet research and as we have a cat, the animal dyson appeared to be our best option.
I was intrigued by the "ball" by Dyson and went to Curry's to have a closer look.
The handling of the Dyson Ball is very smooth and remarkably easy. Once you've released the locking mechanism that keeps it upright, the vacuum becomes very flexible.
No more pushing and shoving the vacuum around the room or furniture. With a simple turn of the wrist the Dyson goes exactly where you want it to go.
I've found that the suction is incredible. With my previous ...
