I am very lucky as I live only 20 minutes away from this lovely location in my native county of Lancashire - UK.
Pine Lake is part of Diamond Resort, a leisure company of whom I am a member, so I use the facilities here a lot - my grandkids love it!!
Pine Lake is a complex a series of wooden lodges by the side of Pine Lake in Carnforth, Lancashire . It is three miles from Morecambe Bay and 19 miles from Preston and very close to the beautiful Lake District.
There is wonderful restaurant, an indoor pool( with spa, sauna, steam room and children's pool) , games room with arcade type games, table tennis, pool and air hockey, tennis court, children's club, childrens indoor ( with soft play area) and outdoor play area, small shop, a health club, internet availability and a marina ...
Advantages: Good for families, excellent views and wide range of facilities Disadvantages: Crowds of people, long meal queues, lots of hills and steps
better than our first. On the other hand, the breakfast buffet is stunning - dozens and dozens of choices, several cooked to order, which must surely cover every personal preference, dietary requirement and cultural inclination.
So, did we enjoy our stay at Pine Bay? Not really, to be honest. It wasn't the right place for us; there were too many people for comfort and the layout caused certain problems. On the other hand, it was much more attractively located than our original hotel and it had both air-conditioning that worked and lashings of hot water, for which we were grateful.
But for families wanting an all-inclusive, beach-type holiday with food, drink and activities on tap, plus plenty of opportunity to make new friends, I think Pine Bay would be ideal. ...

It's become somewhat of a family tradition recently to mark a special occasion with a grand day out, a special day trip for all the family to enjoy and Elsa's 2nd birthday was no exception. After numerous hours scouring the internet for suitable places in the south west for us to visit and an awful lot of research into what each attraction had to offer we decided to pay a visit to Exmoor Zoo. Situated in the north Devon valleys it is a relatively young zoo having only been opened in 1982 but selling itself as the "family zoo" it seemed the perfect place to take my animal loving toddler to celebrate her special day.
