...BINGO!! I came across the Ping B60F putter.
The very first putt I hit with it was around a 35 footer, left to right break, that dropped so sweetly into the back of the cup that you could have made a fortune if only you could have bottled and sold it! And it has continued to do the “business” for me ever since.
This putter has it all. Balance, feel, good looker, and above all it PERFORMS.
It is fairly heavy, with most ... ...that seems to give you a really good “roll” on the ball.
But what it has in spades is the way it instils confidence in the guy (or gal) who is using it.
That, for me, is what it’s all about. If you think you can, then invariably you will, and putting is all about confidence in your own ability.
From an average of about 39 or 40 putts per round (this is awful) I am now down to an average of 28 to 29, which is ... more
~ ~ I have been playing this wonderful game of golf since before I can even remember, my late father having a golf club in my hands almost before I could even stand. My first memory of golf would be around the age of four or five, when my dad cut down an old set of hickory (wooden) shafted clubs, to allow me to whack around golf balls to my heart’s content. ( If I only had them today, they’re worth an absolute fortune!!)
~ ~ As a young boy learning the sport I very quickly realised that while I couldn’t hit the ball as far as the men, there was one area where I could outshine and excel them, and that was on the putting green. I spent countless hours on the practice putting green, perfecting the art, until it almost became second nature to me, and I gained myself a justified reputation as a “demon” putter. This skill never really left me as I grew older, and all through my golfing career I used the same putter, a John Letters “Golden Goose”. This putter is now a collector’s item in its own right, and I had it valued a couple of years ago at £1,500, although I would never even dream of parting with it for sentimental reasons.
~ ~ So just imagine my dismay and consternation when in 1999 this old and trusted friend suddenly decided to start to play tricks on me, and to resolutely refuse to do what he was told and put the little white ball into the hole. I quite simply had to use him far too often during a round, and this was having disastrous effects on my golf scores, handicap, and general mental health. It was with much reluctance that I decided that it was time for, if not a divorce, then certainly a trial separation. I became a constant visitor to all my local pro shops and golf stores, and drove many a sales assistant and professional half demented by insisting on trying out nearly their whole inventory of putters. For a while I even resorted to the “broomhandle”, the big elongated putter that I’m sure many of you reading here have seen used by a lot of the pros on TV.

And it has continued to do the “business” for me ever since. This putter has it all. Balance, feel, good looker, and above all it PERFORMS. It is fairly heavy, with most of the weight seeming to be concentrated in the clubhead, that seems to give you a really good “roll” on the ball. ~ ~ Cheap it is not!! I paid the pro £100 (discounted from £130), but who can put a price on that WONDERFUL feeling when you drop a 25 footer across the green? My old “Golden Goose” lies languishing in the hall cupboard, but I take him out now and again so that he doesn’t die of a broken heart.
Advantages: bye bye 3 putts Disadvantages: some people may find ugly
...out this new model from Ping and i have never looked back.
I find this putter so easy to allign with my golf ball its unreal. You just use the line on the back and swing through with a smooth motion in a straight line and it really is that simple. I used to suffer from about six foot in but my scores have really started to drop since buying this odd looking creation!! Putting is all about confidence and this has given me loads. I honestly cannot ... ...The gip on this Craz-E is the best i have felt on any putter . I also think the magnetic head cover caps it off perfectly. I have noticed tour pro Lee Westwood using the exact same model on television , so if its good enough for him , it will be for you !!!! ...

Advantages: Easy to line up and easy to get right weight on the putts Disadvantages: --
I went to my local golf pro and asked what he thought what putters are easy to use and he recomended this one. I went to the local shop to buy one but i thought i should try it out first and I holed every putt on the practise putting green. So I bought it it has knocked off 5 shots off my handicap from 17 to 12. I havent had a three putt with it. This putter is really godd not just with the ligning up and direction but more importantly the weight ...
