Advantages: adjustability of the roko buckles and the machine wash Disadvantages: Blinkers are a bit square and stiff
I have this harness for my Shetland pony and find it excellent it really molds to her body shape and i think she finds it comfortable and a good fit, she goes very well in it. The roko fully adjustable buckles mean you can get the fit just right.
The only down side i would say is the bridle as the blinkers are a bit stiff and you cannot mould them to fit around the eye. I use a traditional bridle with this harness but the plasequestrian bridle would be ok to start off with with pre driving training.
The machine wash is what drew me to this, you can literally just chuck it in the wash and bung it on the line to dry, brilliant time saver - it washes well.
All round good reasonably priced harness for training and pleasure driving. ...
Advantages: Value for money, simple, effective. Disadvantages: Could be eaten through if dog is a serious chewer.
When I first got my puppy I had a check list and bought all the things I thought I'd need, including a lead and collar. Although wearing a collar, ID tag is a legal requirement, we found after a few weeks of puppy classes and playgroup he was pulling and choking himself too much.
When we walk him, he doesn't pull but in close proximity with other dogs he just wants to go to them and pulls. So we decided to buy a harness.
The Trixie harness we bought comes from Pets At Home and cost £6.99, the harnesses come in four sizes and each size is a different price:
X Small (£4.99): Chest: 30-41cm (12-16in)
Small (£6.99) : Chest: 50-60cm (19.5-23.5in)
Medium (£8.99): Chest: 60-70cm (23.5-27.5in)
Large (£10.99): Chest: 70-90cm (27.5-35.5in)
The harness is made from Nylon and comes in only black. It is not all glittery ...
I was going to put off buying a harness and rein set till I was in town and could have a real look around as to what was on offer.
However as it happened my mother-in-law picked us up a high chair, you know the type the one with the chair and table. As it was it was missing any sort of harness to help keep a child safe whist feeding or shall I say feeding the floor. As it only cost £5 for the high chair I wasn't too unhappy but I would have preferred to find one myself that had all its parts.
So it was off to our local chemist to see if they had any baby harnesses and reins in stock.
The only one the did was your basic standard harness and rein for the price of £5.99 (I remember when these were much cheaper and better made).
I thought the price was a little on the steep side but has it was for safety reason for my purchase, I ...
